Geaton STILL cannot access the forum, her posts are all gone again, she cannot even create a new username. The tech team is not fixing all the issues here and admin is not responding to emails.

Chris, I have sent through a form email wise in case Geaton's issue wasn't addressed.
Doing it now.
Daisy isn't around. It is unusual that she's gone for a bit and hasn't let the Forum know, as she is often around both answering and chatting.
I wondered about Geaton. Thought she got finally fed up. Now I know differently.

Alva, Geaton emails A.C. daily without reply. She cannot even like a post, it's complete blackout for her 😑, she can only read posts.

After what happened with Needhelpwithmom, I try to stay in touch with as many A.C. posters as possible. I only knew NHWMs first name, never did get her email address 😐

Other than Geaton (and maybe DrivingDaisy) it seems we are all accounted for? Anyone know anyone else who may be in the land of the missing.
I am really frustrated about Geaton. I have written AC on the form they ask we communicate with them on. I hope we will have her back this week if she even still wishes to return.
Lea, I really agree with you. I think it would be a really good thing if we each chose a trusted other off the site, who was agreeable, to be able to communicate with if off the site. I know no one of us wants to take that on for a bunch of folks, but it surely would help in a situation like this. Just now I have my messaging off, because old messages were being dumped in it when I like it empty. But in future I could take on at least a couple of folk. Fact is, however, at 83 in a few months I am likely to be the one who drops! So likely a bad choice to have be "your voice" (hee hee).

From Geaton this morning:

"I thought I succeeded in creating a new temporary profile (Geaton7777) using a new email address and even got a confirmation email back from AC. Yet when I was newly logged in and tried to post on this tech thread, it automatically logged me out and now I can't get back in again using any profile. It didn't save my reply. Doesn't matter which browser I'm in (Safari or Chrome).

Everyone, please do me a favor and "report" this post so that the forum tech team sees it. Thanks! I miss being on the forum!"

I have made a post "GEATON IS LOCKED OUT" and I have sent email to them.
I will begin to send emails daily at this point.
Lea, let us know when we should stop by posting here; until then I am on this with email daily.

Hi all,
 
We want to acknowledge an unintended side effect of the new spam filter that was deployed last week. Several longtime users experienced trouble logging in and/or posting. Those issues should now be resolved.
 
As part of the solution, we had to “restore” the affected accounts and their content. This may have caused previously deleted messages from these users to resurface on your profile pages. We understand this might be frustrating, but it's merely a quirk of our systems.
 
Thank you to those of you who flagged issues — whether you experienced them firsthand or reported them on behalf of others. Your communication helps us respond more quickly and effectively.
 
If you're still experiencing problems related to last week's release, or if you ever need support, please use one the following contact methods:

This regards asking HOW EXACTLY are we supposed to contact AgingCare when we need to.
Due to my posts re Geaton yesterday AC read I had tried to contact them by the email we are supposed to use. THEY NEVER GOT THE MESSAGES.
SO AM I USING THE WRONG FORM?
What form are y'all using???

When Geaton couldn't get back on and I tried to inform them of that, and once when JoAnn couldn't get on, I did it in this manner:
I scrolled to the bottom of the page to the area where you could contact them for help. Over on the far, far right side was a column you could click on that said "About Us".

I clicked on that and up popped an email form where you enter your email and then you write them. I have done that in the past probably total half dozen times and NEVER GOT AN ANSWER by email.

Now our moderator has sent me an email saying they never got any messages from me.
So clearly the CONTACT US form isn't working. Or isn't working for some of us?
WHAT exactly is the form we are to use to write any concerns or problems to our moderators on AC. Does anyone know? Has anyone has any luck messaging AgingCare on any form or any email? I am glad to write down the contact. I just need one that will work. I thought I knew how to contact. Clearly I don't. And AgingCare should know that the contact form anyone can access at the bottom of the page, that starts with About Us and provides a "Contact us" may not be working for anyone trying to contact.

Moderators,

I'm dismayed to think you received none of the several emails I sent daily over the last 2 weeks when I was having trouble logging in.

Since I used the email form that resides on this website, I have no way to prove that I sent you anything. I can tell you that I received NOTHING from you people.

From now on any participants having problems that require the attention of the Moderators needs to generate an email from within their own email app (like Safari Mail or Gmail) and not from the Contact Us email form on this website. Those emails apparently go into a black hole.

FYI in my years of experience the in-website emails of corporations are not well monitored -- especially if they are small businesses. NEVER use the website's email app, if at all possible.

I see this a.m. that people are still having problems with contacting you, and with posting.
Is this something that must now be addressed by you one person at a time?
How should we contact you?
I not the recent question was close to comment. The person said that the email wasn't working to reach you.
Is the email that you suggest we use for you now fixed and working?
Should we continue to reach out to you by Moderator@aplaceformom or should we reach out to you via the email form at the bottom of the page under "about us" and "contact us"?

Thanks. Would appreciate an update. For most of us it's looking like we're back to normal, but every day one or two shows up saying they still can't respond, and I am just wondering if this is a matter of now getting them back on "one at a time".

I closed my account and had to set up a new one and it still gave me problems. Today I come on and it lets me login with my deleted account info. I guess no one is minding the store.

I have been locked out for about a week. Attempts to log in were met with
SPAM CONTENT
errors.

Attempts to change password were successful. Then when I tried to log in, the error message read
User account name and password do not match.

I have been emailing the moderator, who has been manually clearing my account.

Anyway, I am now logged in on my PC. Attempts to log in on my phone, using the same name and password, are Spam Content and access is denied,.

Tech team, when we get a carabunga spam outbreak, do we need to report every single post? Or can we just report 1 and assume you see the rest?

Here’s the English translation:

"How to unblock Wondr' BNI blocked due to entering the wrong PIN 3 times: You can contact BNI Call service via WhatsApp at +62822-9794-8847 or call 1500046. You can also go directly to the nearest BNI branch to get assistance with unblocking."

FYI: Wondr by BNI is a mobile banking app developed by Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI)

How ironic that we're getting spammed due to Wondr' BNIs stray tech message to their customers...

I would love an update from admins, as well. What ARE we to do when we find the site infested?
Should we try to report each spam?
Should we allow you only to monitor the site, and suppose that you are daily on this?
We now have few new questions, many old, and a site that is pretty clearly infected.
Would love some ideas?

I recommend just ignoring the spam posts. If the site isn't monitored appropriately after these recent hacks it never will be, and commenting to report just keeps the spam in circulation.

After my going on AC this a.m. and first finding no new questions, just the-bots-are-back?
Then finding one sentence questions such as "I can't clean my mother after a bowel movement".
Then finding us entering a new era of religious warfare?

I just need my month off.

cw - makes sense. Report if you like but don't keep a running conversation about them. Old posts can be addressed anyway and new questions will come soon. Spam is best ignored, otherwise you are feeding the spammers who, like trolls, want attention.

cwillie, I 100% agree... I have no expectations of what my forum experience will be. I can only control how I choose to participate. No public social media is ever going to be without problems: technology is the least of them. People are the #1 variable that ruins things like this forum.

Later has arrived, and I am not taking a sabbatical.
I took care of today by cancelling the most frustrating DIY project, (he has lost the ability to complete it). Then, firmly telling my husband to eat his breakfast, take his b/p meds, and rest up, and watching him do it. This happens too often now. I am sad and unqualified to be his caregiver at this stage.
