Nectar of the gods, cafe latte

Send,
Well rich people who have pools - ha ha

But, our local park and some YMCAs have them - much easier on the skin without so many chemicals

Sadness shared is lessened somehow. Good ideas Gershun!  Did everybody get their cranberry- orange scone with the sugary glaze?

More hug ideas: Hmm, let's see. An old woman or man holding a kitten.
or maybe an old woman or man holding hands with God.

These might be too sad but crying is good for the soul, so why not.

Repeating the definition again, because others don't know the definition either.
I think the origin of Coffee Klatch is Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian.
Somebody help me out here?
Definition is:
"Coffee Klatch."
"a social occasion where people gather and talk about unimportant things".

There are actually coffee houses called coffee klatch.

Luckylu was correct.

Too funny, Send. I didn't know what the simple 2 words meant, and I thought it must be related to my recent activity on AC. 😆 "Klatch" is a good word. Put that with Guest's "transmogrify" and I've learned 2 fabulous new words on AC in two days. If only I could remember them.

I'd like to enjoy some green tea and scones with honey butter at our klatch.

MsMadge,
Did not know, until you mentioned it, that there was any such thing as a salt water pool!
Guess that is for the rich people?

Ali, I was just thanking you for liking my post, and viewing the coffee klatch.

THE INVITATION
CMagnum,
You are the only upstanding guy that I know on AC, and I would personally like to invite you to join the Coffee Klatch ladies.
Bring some conversation, and I promise not to ask you to bring in the firewood.

Not an exclusionary thread at all, right?

Everyone is welcome.  R.S.V.P.  (and no one knew I took french in high school) Lol.

Suggestion for AgingCare admins to create a new hug selection.

1) A cafe latte.
2) A white feather
3) The finger people (avatar was a thumbs up with black eyes, a thumbs up)
4) A group hug
5) Sign: Stay Calm and put your jammies on
6) Cute, but exit the teddy bear in the straight jacket
7) A beautiful cat hug
8) An ice cream cone
9)  A blank white box to indicate "there are no words"
10)  A heart shaped balloon with a teddy bear hanging on for dear life
11)  A sleeping bear with zzzzzzz's coming ouf of it's mouth.

What else? Any ideas?

Sleep will come.
Coffee is plain and simple with non-dairy, but I limit it and now add boiling water, called cafe americano. I cooked an entire fantasy plate of scones, but it shut down the kindle, it was so hot!
I must have told 4 people that I was going to bed, at different times later and later.  I really tried.

Goodness you are up early, have you not slept at all Send?
I like a simple dark roast with milk and sugar, cream if I order out, nothing fancy. According to the web we canucks drink more coffee than just about anyone else in the world, following only the Netherlands and Finland. And why not, it's cheap, usually low calorie (no starbucks mega calorie concoctions allowed), warms you up in the winter and perks you up any time.

Everyone is invited to this coffee klatch in the keeping it friendly attitude of agingcare.
Have you an idea for today, Cwillie?
What kind of coffee did you bring?

My aunt belonged to a coffee klatch group - very snobby, you had to be invited to join. I can remember her fussing over trying to get an invitation, and being so happy when she was included. I would love to belong to a group of women who get together just to chat. Well, I've got my coffee and I've got AgingCare, and most of us are women so I guess we've got a cyber coffee klatch.

There is really good chocolate in Switzerland, and Chocolate coated macadamia nuts in Hawaii.
Who else wants to go?

Goodnight Gershun! Goodnight Luckylu!
Tomorrow is another day!
I was having tea anyway.
Coffee in the mornings.

Coffee Klatch. (for you Gershun)
"a social occasion where people gather and talk about unimportant things".

There are actually coffee houses called coffee klatch.

It meant something more in the olden days of yore, I'm sure.

Yes, that is what I thought a coffee klatch was.
Your vacay sounds wonderful Lu-something for everybody.
Since I will be getting my Burmese mountain dog in Switzerland, I will enter it into the Iditerod race.
This is a group trip, right? I know that Stacey will love the Vegas part.
But Gershun is bringing her kitties, and getting her own Bermese, I think.
We might need to borrow a private jet to let the animals travel in style. Ok?

First of all,I'd leave dH behind to watch all my babies and Id go to Hawaii to Hilo to Punaluu to the green sand beach and swim with the sea turtles. Then,I'd jump on a plane over to Alaska and catch the Iditorod and see all those beautiful dogs up close. Then I'd head to Las Vegas to catch a few shows and hopefully win some cash.
A Coffee Klatch sounds like a bunch of women yacking, drinking coffee. Is that right Send?

Should I look up coffee klatch?
Maybe MsMadge knows.
Silly, huh, I know words, use them, but lately, cannot define them.
I am going to google Burmese dog retreat instead.

What is a klatch Send?

I've always wanted to live in a mountaintop chalet in Switzerland with a big roaring fire going all the time and hot chocolate laced with Bailey's laying on big fur cushions on the floor and my big Bernese mountain dog curled up beside me and my kitties curled up with him and all my besties there with me.

Need a jacuzzi, overlooking an ocean.
Just sitting there for a week, I would be walking a lot then, I am sure.

Would like to start a coffee klatch tonight. Maybe talk about our fantasy vacation destinations.
First off, what would Luckylu and Gershun do with their pets? An example.
Second, what would Cwillie, and MsMadge do with their Moms? As an example.
Then, what would the others do with their hubs?

Sheesh, this will be hard, even as a fantasy.

After resting, and prayers for our troops in Guam (air force base), I am sure there are angels of protection already in the air.

While on the world wide web, I came across a link to Hormel food. Hormel is now making food for two special diet groups.

One is pureed food called Thick & Easy.

The other is food for cancer patients called Vital Cuisine.

Nice to know that companies are taking an interest on how we the caregivers can help with special diets :)

Say what? I don't know much, but my sis explained the lady probably can do 2 miles, across the width of pool.

Ok, guessing, width 25 ft (maybe 50'?), and length was 50 ft (maybe 75'?).  A big Olympic size pool, lanes were width, not length.  7 ft. deep.

Those stairs/rail may stop me.
(1)

Are these laps across the width or the length or the pool ? Is it salt water ?
