Maybe I'll have to start ordering it double double, and you will have to move up to... triple triple 😲??

Willie, you are not imagining it. I always ordered a double double at Tim's. Lately, I've been noticing it tastes very watery or something. I've had to start asking for three sugars instead of two.

This is the third time my Tim's dark roast regular is not up to snuff - I'm pretty sure they are cheaping out on the cream and sugar because today I noticed the colour of the coffee looks the same as the coffee with milk I make at home 😒

Over breakfast with DH, we discussed the moon some more. Here, the sun and the moon both travel through the northern sky. In the northern hemisphere, the sun travels through the southern sky (and you get used to this in US and UK books on gardening and house design). But what about the moon? In the northern hemisphere, does it travel through the northern or southern sky? We guessed that it would be the same as the sun, but we simply don't know.

Just for interest, with views of a big sky on the farm, we learned that although the sun rises and sets towards the north of east and west in winter, and to the south of east and west in summer (longer days etc), the reverse is true for the moon. ‘Full moon nights’ are longer in winter, and shorter in summer, and the moon is higher in the sky.

Yes! Full moon on October 9th! I am so used to the northern hemisphere seasons being the wrong way round, the sun being in the wrong half of the sky, and the day/night time being all over the place, that it’s almost surprising to know that the moon is the same for all of us, wherever we live.

Pamz - glad you has a good night and felt great the next day, Gluten or nightshades may not be an issue for you. I didn't have so much trouble giving up gluten. I'm not much of a bread person, but with dairy and giving up cheese was harder. I try things out too and if they work - good. If not there's always something else. Stress is a big item! Hope you find your answers.

So do I, even though DH just breathes very heavily (18 inches from my ear), he doesn't snore.

PamZ: If your DH coughs a lot at night, maybe you would want to invest in ear plugs. My DH is a snorer, thus I wear ear plugs to sleep.

Golden, you may be right. I eat alot of tomatoes, but I am not ready to go gluten free,, I love my bread! Yesterday I felt the best I have felt in a month.. but I did forget to take the turmeric once,, LOL I will say hubs did not cough all night so I did sleep better just with that. It was a beautiful day, and I was very relaxed so no stress. I'm just hanging in there trying things!

You could be right Golden. I've noticed that any time I've suffered from panic attacks it's been in the fall. Plus my Doc suggested I could benefit from an iron supplement cause my blood work showed I'm at the low normal range. I bought a liquid supplement that is 10 mg. Hopefully it will do the trick. If not I'll keep on looking.

pamz - I've been thinking about your post - slowly - as I have my own brain fog to deal with. I'll share how I tackle these problems. Basically I look at my lifestyle, as much disease has its roots in lifestyle. Gentle exercise can build up muscle which then supports joints. Mother had two deteriorated discs but didn't have back pain as her "muscle corset" supported her spine. She greatly believed in exercise for muscle strength and improved circulation. My knees used to be painful. I started doing a few squats and now they aren't. I work on improving sleep, diet, exercise, and decreasing stress. I have few prescriptions but do take supplements.

As I understand it, diet can aggravate arthritis, as can stress. Removing nightshades (tomatoes, eggplant, white potatoes, bell peppers etc.) may help arthritis. Going gluten free may too. When I realised my sinus problems were diet related I tried going gluten free for 2 weeks to see, and it made a great difference.

To improve sleep and reduce stress you can induce parasympathetic activity (meditation, humming, singing, deep breathing etc.) Gentle exercise will strengthen muscles, and relax you. Drinking tea - green, black gives health benefits. These are some of the things I do.

Brain fog has many sources. Lack of sleep is one. I work on sleep hygiene. For me it also comes with CFS/FM. Tylenol is not generally considered anti inflammatory but it has been found that it reduces neuronal inflammation. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2662814/

Dextromethorphan may help with brain inflammation too and pain as well. https://www.healthrising.org/blog/2021/03/02/dextromethorphan-fibromyalgia-neuroinflammation-study/

Normal doses of both of these are enough.

I look for solutions that don't harm and are manageable for me. I can't exercise much due to CFS/FM though I can a little and even that helps. I can modify my diet, even if I don't like to always but the results make it worthwhile. I work on reducing stress, or managing it better. and getting better quality sleep. Hope you can take something useful from my experiences. ((((((hugs))))))

just thinking some thoughts, while i lie here in bed.

i’m about to sleeeep.

hugs to all! hope you’re ok. i’ve had some tough weeks. i’m helping my LOs.

in my real life, i’m a lawyer. when the law doesn’t work, i use my teeth and bite and growl. very effective. if all else fails, i bring my cat with claws, to court, and let him
loose.

anywayyy, i was thinking about my law work. i work on rock-bottom, non-negotiable rights. basic, basic rights that no one has a right to take away from you.

well, many of us are in abusive situations. the same person we’re helping is awful to us.

i think it helps to have a vision of your future:
you might not know today how to reach that goal, but always keep in mind your non-negotiable goal (for example, a life free from being abused)——

otherwise people will use you for their goals.
