Wow, Tenny ~
Sounds like a soap opera. Keep notes ..
Maybe you can sell the story.

I watch Dateline, 20/20, 48 Hours & those other grim crime shows.
I wonder if Keith Morrison might show up on your doorstep someday?

After the AH explodes. He will someday ... just a matter of time.
Waiting for his explosion stinks. How do we expidite it?
How can we haunt him?

What kind of family does the dude have? Frightened wife?
Sounds like a dark person with secrets. A coiled up snake waiting to strike ...

Tenn, Matthew 21:33 starts the parable about the owner of the vineyard that leased it out......We may not get justice in this life & in this world, but they will get their's. You don't have to read very far to see the end of the corporates. Eternity is a looooong time. There's also the parable about the unjust judge???
I read a certain article yesterday which stated that 2% of Americans own over 1/2 of the wealth. "It's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than a rich man into Heaven". This world is becoming even more hard hearted & greedy, but I'm thinking it won't be too long before we get our justice. It's going to get pretty ugly & much worse first though. The gap is getting bigger daily & they're digging their own pits. Their choice.
GP, Glad you're doing better today.
Deef, Sorry you had a rough day. Some day's memories just stick with us & hurt for years. Hope you are able to overcome soon.
Rosella, Hub says the "Cough up a rock" thing refers to an error/mistake. The baseball being the "rock" which isn't fielded, improperly thrown, batted badly, wild pitch, etc. Hope that helps.
Bobbie, All good ideas. Maybe Tenn can lease out that acreage for grazing before the b__ch comes to harvest & then play dumb. But that may get Tenn in trouble too.
Angie, Hope all improves for you & your's.
Linda, Alergies affecting pa's eyes??? Maybe some AC eye drops? They sure do help me. I've been on & off with antihistamines all month with the weed seeds blowing around, but be careful with antihistamines if pa has high BP (corcedine safe?).
Rip, I agree, unemployment levels are affecting folks criminal behavior. Praying things don't get anymore desperate than they already are. Some signs of improvement but it's slow in coming so far. The greedy corporates aren't helping by wanting the worker bees to take a 50% cut in wages. Short sighted & half witted SOBs. GOD bless 'em REAL HARD!!!! Sorry, but that subject really tweeks me. We sure don't see them cutting the price of goods or services in half!!!
Vent, Vent.
Love & best to all of you.

This is one example-his mom is old and health declining-she needs help-first time in her life-needing assistance. He has POA and Executorship. He's not going to help her.His sisters kid,his nephew is always running errands, mowing yard-garden stuff-whatever she needs. He copped a attitude, got drunk, went after the nephew-going to break a unopen bottle on his head.people intervined, pulled him off the nephew, threatened his life a bunch.Nephew is still helping his granny, but son doesn't come around, trying to make sick mom chose between son and grandson-when grandson is only one helping. She has a bunch of sisters,I'm hoping for family intervention. His own problems are about to start snowballing.

Tennessee, you should find a way to act by night, when nobody sees you, and pretend that you have nothing to do with it. That it's been a natural disaster. Otherwise, a herbicide is good. They can't prove that you spread it. I'm sorry for the plants, but war is war. We can' allow bully people to win all the time.

tennessee, what you are going through really sucks. I'm so sorry. That's just so much stress. Pisses me right off.

J, I know exactly what you mean about a therapist just going by the book like everyone is the same. I got so angry with one, (a shrink) one time that he put me on too many meds. I could barely get out of bed, I was so drugged. I asked him why he put me on so much GD medicine and he said because you are so GD angry. What a jerk. He thought he was so great cause he would come out from behind his desk and talk to you. He said I was the worst patient he had ever dealt with. LOL I kinda doubt that.

angie, I hope things are getting better for you and you can get some sleep.

I was soooo tired all weekend. My bestest friend came to town and we sat on the front porch and talked until way too late for me. Then, we were supposed to go to lunch on Saturday but she didn't want to leave her parents cause her dad is so sick with cancer. He's got tumors in his throat and so he is on a feeding tube. :( Then, she came over Saturday night and when she got home she was walking down the basement stairs and fell and hurt her foot. So, yesterday I took her to urgent care to make sure it wasn't broken and sure enough it was. They said it was like mashed potatoes in there. I dropped her off at the ER cause I had to tend to Mom and a nurse gave her a ride home. She's in one of those big boots and will probably have to have pins put in when she gets home. Then, she asked me to go get her prescription and for hubby to park her car under our carport. It's an expensive little roadster type car. So, I did all this and by afternoon I was way too tired to go out for our anniversary. I was very glad to help her with everything and she was very appreciative. So now we're gonna go out for our anniversary this coming weekend I hope. Hubby gave me a white gold ring with little diamonds. It says "love" on it. That and the card about made me cry.

Have a better day, everyone. Love yous!!

love,
miz

We will probably go to either The Olive Garden or Ruby Tuesdays for our anniversary and then we want to go see "Secretariat". I get to pick the restaurant.

Hey everyone! Tough week got me so tired out, I couldn't find the energy to even read posts this weekend!
Well, the day I have been fearing, finally came yesterday. Merry was watching Mom, and called me in the afternoon to see if I had any gloves. I figured Mom had a doozy in her pants. Nope! I walked into the kitchen to find Merry holding Mom's wrists to keep her from moving. Her hands were covered in, you guessed it! Sh!t!@#@!. Don't know when she dug the turd out of her pants, but she was very neat. Her clothes were clean, and her hands looked like she had used the turd like lotion. Merry and I laughed so hard I thought I was going to pee myself! I held her arms while Merry scrubbed her down, and then we had her put her hands in a sink full of soapy water. Then we changed her pants and Merry proceeded to clean under her finger nails, which she had cut the day before. Good thing! That was an adventure.
Today Merry called me at 7:30 am to tell me she was going to be late. Oh no! Turns out she was giving the cat fresh water and lost her balance and fell backward into the door jamb and split her scalp open just a bit. She couldn't get it to stop bleeding, so went to the ER and got 2 staples in her head! She is fine, but didn't make it here today. So my day was a wash! I made potato leek soup, that took me 2 hours to get together because I had to watch Mom too. The soup is delicious! Perfect for a cold fall day.
Them, my daughter informed me that I forgot to get my car inspected before Oct, 1st! Great, now I have to put a couple grape leaves under my wiper to hide the old sticker while I drive the car to an inspection station!
The good news is Dennis' job is looking secure! Yes!!! His new boss is very impressed, and the new owner took no time at all to let him know that he is getting good reports on his work. His salary will stay the same, but they don't pay overtime, so he will lose about $60 /week, but the bonus plan should be better than with his old company. So, we can breath easier for now!
Tennessee, You should listen to these ladies and go public with what is happening to you. Take them all down, then move the Hell out of that place!
Hope everyone else is having a good start to their week!

Well, the b/f helped me to run away for a week. Unbelievable how good it felt to be a semi-normal person for a week. My aunt was supposed to come stay with my dad but had a TIA the week before. I had hoped my sister would HAVE to step up but instead my daughter, god love her (I know I do) took care of dad for me. He survived, much to his surprise but right back to normal now. Tonite at dinner, we sit down to eat and he says, "No milk?! I wanted to ask him if his legs were broken but then thought, ok he's 85, going on 86 with too many health problems to keep track of, the least I can do is get him a glass of milk to have with his dinner. I can guarantee you he wouldn't have said that to my sister. Oh, well. B/f and I went hiking in Minnesota, hiked about 45 miles in 5 days. One would think I would spend the time partying and carrying on with the freedom of it all, but instead I slept... and slept... and slept whenever we weren't hiking. Can't ever seem to catch up. I'm working on getting caught up with all of you. Tenn - I'm so sorry for your troubles. GP - sounds like you're doing a little better. J - we have a caregiver come in once a week and, while she dotes on dad and he won't let her lift a finger to help me, he seems to think paying for her is my full responsibility. I'm ready to tell him that if he wants Bonnie to continue to come, while I'm pay for her, she needs to do her part by doing the dishes and some laundry while she's here. NOONE here should be getting a free ride. Not on my ticket! miz - happy anniversary! I hope you have an enjoyable and peaceful dinner wherever you guys go. Hmmm, I wonder if feces like utter cream will be the new intensive hand treatment? Yuk!! I wish ALL a great evening and an even better tomorrow! Don't ever mean to leave anyone out but haven't caught up on all the comments yet. So please don't think for a minute that my thoughts and good wishes aren't ever with all of you fellow caregivers. We truly have to stick together. I am addicted to the support you all have given me and hope I can give back even a fraction of the friendship and warmth that you have given me! Thanks.

Yay deef!! I'm so glad about your hubby's job!! I'm sorry about Merry's scalp. Those head wounds bleed like a mother. Reminded me of one day I was going down the steps out the door to go to work and fell and hit my head where my sunglasses were. It bled so much but I was careful and didn't get any on my clothes. There's priorities ya know. ;) LOL. I had to get stitches. I have a small dent high on the right side of my forehead but my hair covers it. I'd love that soup recipe too!!

rip, I'm here and I'm okay. I go from hanging on a thread to being pretty good. It's like a daily thing. I'm so sick of cleaning too. I used to be obsessive about it. I'm so over that. I want to throw shit out but don't wanna be accused of anything when all is said and done. I do know one thing...I need to get rid of some of my clothes. It's pitiful.

Hubby and I didn't go out for our anniversary last night cause I was just too freakin' tired. We're going Friday.

Kuli, I'm so glad you got away. You really must have needed that sleep. You're such a sweetie. :)

Love you all.

love,
miz
