I. How We Work in Washington. Based on your preferences, we provide you with information about one or more of our contracted senior living providers ("Participating Communities") and provide your Senior Living Care Information to Participating Communities. The Participating Communities may contact you directly regarding their services. APFM does not endorse or recommend any provider. It is your sole responsibility to select the appropriate care for yourself or your loved one. We work with both you and the Participating Communities in your search. We do not permit our Advisors to have an ownership interest in Participating Communities.
II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.
III. When We Tour. APFM tours certain Participating Communities in Washington (typically more in metropolitan areas than in rural areas.) During the 12 month period prior to December 31, 2017, we toured 86.2% of Participating Communities with capacity for 20 or more residents.
IV. No Obligation or Commitment. You have no obligation to use or to continue to use our services. Because you pay no fee to us, you will never need to ask for a refund.
V. Complaints. Please contact our Family Feedback Line at (866) 584-7340 or ConsumerFeedback@aplaceformom.com to report any complaint. Consumers have many avenues to address a dispute with any referral service company, including the right to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office at: Consumer Protection Division, 800 5th Avenue, Ste. 2000, Seattle, 98104 or 800-551-4636.
VI. No Waiver of Your Rights. APFM does not (and may not) require or even ask consumers seeking senior housing or care services in Washington State to sign waivers of liability for losses of personal property or injury or to sign waivers of any rights established under law.I agree that: A.I authorize A Place For Mom ("APFM") to collect certain personal and contact detail information, as well as relevant health care information about me or from me about the senior family member or relative I am assisting ("Senior Living Care Information"). B.APFM may provide information to me electronically. My electronic signature on agreements and documents has the same effect as if I signed them in ink. C.APFM may send all communications to me electronically via e-mail or by access to an APFM web site. D.If I want a paper copy, I can print a copy of the Disclosures or download the Disclosures for my records. Took my morning walk around the block. Calm weather so not cold. Most of the boats around here are covered with shrinkwrap. I avoid walking by the neighbor who alwalys watches over the neighborhood. If she sees me she will call up and ask "Who was watching your mother?" My mom sleeps till 10:30 these days, so I feel comfortable taking a 20 min walk at 8 AM. BI@CH As nice as it is around here, I'll be glad to move on and get my own place someday. Since it's our family home will have to sell at some point, I couldn't afford the property taxes around here. Sorry for rambling, the weekends get lonely. Weekdays I don't mind as much, but the dreaded Saturday night is aproaching. And Sunday, worse.. Hope you all are ok today. ssk

I know the feeling and I am still somewhat overwhelmed and get overwhelmed very easily. I know that we feel that this will go on forever and we can't see that we will even have a life after. We feel sick and tired and exhausted. It's been 7 months since mom died and I am still not right, but I am better and getting better every day.
My job right now is to cheer you guys on and tell you that you can do this and have a life!!

hey yall sat sown for a minuit got to clean my bat too and finishe laundry about those thank yous when my hubby died at valentines i sent out thank yous and all year got back do you haves all any of his family wants is what ever he had cause they knew him longer tan me i give it freely so they leave me alone after and i know when i go met my maker i have no regrets moma hates when i do that but i feel it is better that fighting over it it saddens me to think people or that way but if i feel if i hadden sent thank you may they would have my adress lol
It took me hours to catch up after three days of our craft fair as uauall lot of advice but no help -on the second day the director said something about the spring fair-I am sure smoke came out of my ears timid little me said THERE will be no spring fair unless others step up it was just the two of us and her-the director doing all the work and the money that is made is for supplies for the senior center What kept me going the the wine I had at home waiting for me. Some of you may know I have been on a dating site for 2 months and have been emailing back and forth with a gentlemen most of that time and plan to meet for lunch after the holidays, I wish the best for all of you the jokes keep me going. I am keeping it simple this year not having any money keeps my awat from the mall and all the crazyness.

Just got through giving mil her Saturday bath......oh my. Walked into the bathroom and the cute little container with her butt wipes has poop ALL over the lid and the inside. And I know how she hates washing her hands....ack, ack, ack. Have been concerned because she doesn't know how to feed her dog, has never fed him right...this dog was raised on boiled chicken breasts daily. He's a 20 lb "yorkie boo-boo"..anyway everyday I change the bottle on his dish and make sure he has nice, cold, clean water and everyday it's empty. So I'm worried he has diabetes and she will never be able to handle that. She finally fessed up today that she dumps the water out of the bottle after I fill it. Visions of my hands around her throat..........should be my theme song. Hope everyone has had a peaceful, beautiful day.
