Linda, I have been told by caregivers is that that is the hardest thing about their jobs. Losing someone they have been taking care of. The receptionist at me and Mom's office said the same thing today. She did not know Mom had passed because she was out of town at a funeral. She got upset at the news. She really liked both my mom and my dad. This stuff affects more people than we know.
Hubby said we have to see how he feels in the morning to decide whether or not we are going on our trip. When I went to the pharmacy to get his meds, one of them cost over $160. He does not have insurance. This was a prescription med that we can buy over the counter and just take twice the amount. I didn't say anything at the time. Then hubby told me something like when I heard the bill was so high I should have questioned it. I didn't. So, I went back to the pharmacy and they actually gave me a refund. Thank you, Lord!! So, cost us a lot less money. What a week this has been. The funny/sad thing is this is my vacation. Woo Hoo.
Since you decided to cut your hairs today I was moved enough to don my Bite Me T-shirt, pull out the clippers & remove the nasty mats from my poor little Pomeranian. She HATES being groomed & becomes very fierce. Requires muzzling. I hate doing it but it needed to be done.
Miz good for you my pharmacy charged me 169 dollars for a med that should have cost 42 dollars I called the RX company and they said there was nothing they could do until I asked to speak to her manager -different story but decided I did not want to wait weeks for my refund so I went to the pharmacy -the pharmisit never put it through my plan-he was trying to pull one over on me-so I got my refund right there after I said I had called AARP-he explained it away but I knew what he was trying-I have had problems with him for years, people have to learn not to mess with caregivers we have a backbone-maybe two.
rip could u plz come and shave my louie , he has long hair and its so tangled up so bad , takes 3 people to hold him down , sometiimes i give up . he wont let me comb his hair either , he s the type of cat that doesnt like to be handled or sit on anybodys lap , i swear i think he s a dog . rip .. miz has a new icon ? where i dont see it ? what ya been drinking ? lol , yes miz , its hard to be a caregiver when you fall in love with sweet elders and dont know them well , i just hug my baby girl and told her getting old sucks , im going to lay down and maybe take a nappy poo , if pa lets me ? xoxo
