Hello Bonnie, Welcome to the boat house gab fest....Bobbie started this thread and we sort of all chat on it, giving support and filling each other in on the latest Reality Show worthy care giving incidents...
Nothing new here really, mom on third day with him 24 7 she took an awful long time using the snowthrower this morning. I had to feed and pill him again....what ever...gonna go read my teenage vampire romance novel...
Miz. never did find the unsubscribe option, but did find phone number-did it the old fashion way-YAAAAAY.We will see if they stop-lot of men out there looking for a date.Daughter said only Mr. Right I need was her dad:)
Tenn just do not give them your credit card info they will tease you with pics and such but just delate if you can find a phone no. you can call but I just delate the postings without looking at them. I wrote a strong email to them after I finally found their phone no.and they would not allow me to take the their manager even when I said I would hold they took a years worth of payment after only about 2 months of joining then stoped sending me matches I told them N.Y. State does not like their people getting scamed our local DA is Judge Judy's son so I guess they do not want to deal with them -a day after my email I got a call from higher up in the company and will get a refund and cut my contract back 6 months. Some of my relatives have met wives and girlfriends on Match, com Bonnie -welcome aboard this is a great place I found it when I was in the black hole about 3 yrs. ago and it saved my sanity now that my husband has died I come back to it-I met so many great people hear at times we get those who do not get it but we deal with that also. Jam I am so sorry about your Mom and glad you were there -I was with my husband when he passed which I know he could hace cared less our last conversation the night before he became critical was the same old same old and when he was mostly out of it he would not reconize me but he did our kids and grand-daughter, I let the social worker clean out his room they wanted it done right away and I had not slept in days and told her I just could not do it them-most places five you time-I never got the tape recorder he asked my son to get so he could record family history but he told me he really wanted it so he could catch me saying something mean to him-and I am sure it had a lot of rantings on it which I am just as glad I did not listen to,
Austin, I didn't give them any money, got them on the phone,so maybe it will stop. They sound like they do business like Direct TV.They never posted any pictures because I didn't pay. There were a couple of cops from my area on there, but there were almost 200 men on there. You know when they ask you what you will not tolerate,I answered a man obsessed with porn-half of those dudes dropped out immediately-that was funny! All of the men claimed to be 6 ft. or more[HUH] I think that is suspicous-lot of tall men on the site-yah right.....
HI FOLKS, Thought I would drop in.. Well mom is still giving me grief...she has become more of the SHIT QUEEN like others have experienced...so fn gross...have to give her a bath at least every other day due to she never wipes herself...and when you do seems more ends up in the adult diapies....oh brother. A week or so ago we could still do underwear..but giving up on trying to clean a pack of poo out of them, or runs on the beds or on seat cushions..yuck. I hope I croak before I get like this..so fn gross. Her mouth doesn't seem to fail her..when she wants to make some kinda point. Eating has gone down..it's a lot of NO lately. She said she wanted pork chops and mashed potatoes and green beans for christmas..and then wanted none of it after i made it...harumpf...last last last time I ask her. She has made me waste plently of meals lately. Not asking anymore...gee I wonder if these geniuses that write these so called caregiver books cover subjects like this? Does anyone know?
hey pirate ! welcome back ! u sure was a long overdue to be ckin in with us . shall ck in with us all veryday so u wont lose ur name . :-) aww shuck , sorry ur mom s givin u a hard time , hope it gets better as the time goes on , keep comin back and vent more my dear . we miss you ... xoxo
I was just thinking that I used to be a punctual, organized, on time kind of person. But after this caregiving i am more go with the flow. The vna sends different hha's at different times of day and I have had to just relax and enjoy the company. It's a real help to have them to get mom "toileted" And I don't mind doing it on my 2 days when they don't come in. I've got the bathroom all set up with grab bars, depends, inserts, wipes, disenfectant,. odor spray, bins for poopy cloths, peepee cloths, regular laundry. I'm into it. As long as I get a two hr break, which I had today, I can cope. Pirate, I am sskape1 but used to be sskape, cuz I couldn't get back on one time. welcome also to bonnieO. new years eve coming up. a big night for Chinese food. One last binge before the resolutions. Well, thanks for listening. ssk
thank you tennessee.....i'm pretty fond of that little girl...she is a handful. Peach Mom passed quietly.....thank you hospice and morphine. Mom is to be cremated and transported to Michigan for burial with her husband and our grandmother. There will be a small memorial for anyone to pay their respects next Tuesday evening at George Funeral Home in Belton, MO. I didn't realize how hard this is......I am exhausted. Ate a little soup now I think it's time for a nap......love and hugs to all!

Ok..this is going to really be a sick habit for all of you..My mother is constantly picking her nose and eating it. I am so sick of seeing this I can't stand looking at her, never mind taking care of her. I don't know how much more I can stand. I can't take her out to eat anywhere anymore. I am sorry I had to get this off my mind.
annie....this is one I haven't run across so I'm not sure what to tell you....I assume Mom has dementia. Do they still make that nasty tasting stuff that you put on kids fingers to make them quit biting their nails or sucking their thumb? Maybe gloves? Too large to get in her nose. Anyone else have any ideas?
yup! this is the place to be when you're grossed out and want to yak on your shoes.
I had a great b'day party up the dock and drank 2 beers.
the family from the show came and they were precious. they included me in their family for the night and I had nieces and nephews and kids and the whole shebang.

Oh yes it just keeps coming....You know our asshole neighbors whose kids light fires and leave dogs in bitter cold, mother pitches cigarette butts etc...their locust tree is now laden with snow and huge branches are cracking and falling in our yard of course...lovely....and mom is yes pissed...at me...what ever. Yes, Ma I am making it snow...at least you don't have to go to work anymore.... And she is getting tired of him too....hehehehe....Smelled it coming....
Hi guys some of our snow is melting I sure miss my large pine tree that got up rooted during the storm we planted it 45 yrs, ago my neighbor wanted it to go to Rockafeller square but another tree in oue town got picked so I thought it was safe-a tree guy came along and for 1200 dollars he would take it away ya right I would use an electric knife on it first than pay that much. My big date is set for next week we have been emailing for almost 3 months and probably will not have anything to say when we meet-oh well eating out is nice. Have not been on a date in48 yrs. J your Mon is already sick of caregiving-has it been a week yet---hope you stay away from the house a lot I would have lots of reasons for staying away.
