Miz, your mom would not want you to beat yourself up.We all have something we wish we had done different,I wish I had gotten my dad back to his own bed in his own house with his dog by his side,he died in a hospital bed at the hospital.he died right when they came to transport him home.I would do anything to change that.Your mom couldn't have asked for a better daughter.
Miz ~ Listen to Tenny. PLEASE Don't beat yourself up! We ALL have things we wish we'd done differently. I bet our parents do too.
Had fun flashing my Bite Me shirt at Costco. I tell you, we need to start production on a few things. One of the sampling guys offered to buy mine right there b/c the customers were so crazy today!
Yay!! So glad that Rossella will be back on and she is okay!! One of my best friends called awhile ago when I was crying and she helped me with the guilt too. Thanks so much, Tenny & Rip. Love yous!! Hubby is asleep already. We went out to lunch at a new place here, to the pharmacy and the mall and then grocery shopping today. Guess he's worn out. I'm tired too.
I paged back all the way to when Mom went into the hospital yesterday and I was going to read the posts today but I think that's probably not a good idea. Too fragile right now. But I will do it soon.
A good thing (?) that came about during your distress - was the "Bite Me" mantra. When Bobbie wrote those 4 words at such a tense time - it was simply appropriate.
I think the iceberg broke & we all ended up laughing & crying at the same time.
I have 185 hits here man that is much too much, gotta go back and read em...plenty of time...just got back from 7 11 buying my lotto ticket, only after we went up to Walgreens to get fart pants prescription otherwise we wouldn't have. Mom is freaking about the snow, freaking about the ice, freaking about dinner, my GOD does everything have to be a God Damn Ordeal?! I opened the chili imperfectly and she was afraid I didn't add water to it for DDDDAAAADDDDDEEEEEE I already DID that and if he wants it watered down more he can water HIS OWN! Least he is staying in his room...after telling her to come inside two nights in a row and her response he is just staying in his hole, Fine by me, be nice to see the TV once a week...
I am gonna go back and read here, Hope all are well hope you all have a Happy and Safe New Years Eve!!!
Yes, rip. I'm sleeping okay. I was waking up at like 5 am and not going back to sleep but I've been staying up a bit later and sleeping in some. I still don't feel rested though. I was just thinking now I understand why people drink to forget. Forget the bad stuff and regrets. I don't wanna go down that road though. I quit in 1986.
