From all of us here in The Mighty BlueGrass (it's totally cool, I'm allowed to speak for everybody..oh yeah sure, trust me ;-) ), a great big mighty.... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
jacksonville, florida knows how to put on a show. I was no more than 200 yards from the huge barge and wow. The Cat was not interested in the fireworks.
Sat down to write to you guys and Bam! Boat Crash!
guy in a little speedboat nailed the 70' Johnson's bowsprit and the johnson's plow anchor tore the steering wheel off of the speedboat. now they're stuck with this hard core tidal current. I have an eye out because I've had a Jack Daniels and think I know something.
Splint crashed or I would have been on a few hours ago.
love you guys, happy new year and yes! I wish we could all hang out together!
Rip! Whassup with Diane. Is there any way I can help?
here we go: since the little boat is stuck under the bowsprit of the big boat, the big boat has dropped the anchor in the little boat, but all the people got off except the guy driving. They need weight to make the boat sit lower in the water and everybody's standing around. The Sheriff is here and he has the little boat rafted to his boat (tied side to side) and there is a lot of talk with numbers in it. 'well, now yo're gonna have ten thousand pounds movin with a 4 knot current, blah blah.
dudes are funny.
the guy that owns the big boat is amazingly gracious but I think that's going to change momentarily.
HEY!!! the Cat is licking the frying pan. I can't have nice things.
Yup, owner of big boat dude climbed over the bowsprit rail to push on the little boat and his foot slipped and he cracked his nuts pretty good on the rail. Mood changing.
the hardward of the bowsprit is stuck on the rods for the canopy of the little boat. I suggested dismantling the canopy and of course I have all the tools on board to do that. Naw....
Now the big boat dude with the sore nuts is having a cocktail. think I'll join him.
Men do not appreciate help or assistance from a woman in general, especially if machinery and other men are around AND if you know what you are talking about they will resent you more...take the drink...
WAIT BOBBIE YOUR ARE A WOMAN AND IT IS 2011 FOR SHAME YOU AR NOT TRYING TO TELL A MAN MAN ANYTHING ABOUT ANY THING ARE YOU aAREYOU CRAZY are have you had too much to drink now the man who slipped maybe you could tell him something he might be ready to listen LOL
Words cannot express how happy I am to have found this group. You all seem so friendly and bonded. I don't have much time to socialize with the real world. Not like I can just pick up and go when and where I feel like it. You folks know what it is like to be in a situation where you are caring for your parents, so much better than those not in this situation. It is so nice to have people that understand what I'm going through. I just requested to be part of the Barbra B group....hope I'm accepted. Hope everyone here has a great 2011!!
Well, ol sore nuts and about 7 guys are all scratching their heads and I go out into the cockpit and say: What are you looking for? and they say Allen wrenches. we need a BIG allen wrench.
and I say, oh yeah? and go down to the tool room and come back with 4 BIG allen wrenches, different sizes.
boat is no longer stuck and these are the people who wouldn't really speak to me earlier. They have a shiny yacht and I have a boat. (Hey, I polished on her today... it takes a minute)
life is funny. I could have had a nice visit with some people instead of being all alone in the middle of a crowd, but they wouldn't even talk to me, even when the fireworks were going off. Now they're all nice. Creepy. Ah, who cares.
I truly love you guys. thanks for being here for me and us and I hope we get to be the ones having a big party on the dock and we'll make sure we invite everyone!
Last Year Nik and I lit fireworks up on the roof of the apt building and that was when I realized that I needed longer fuses on the mortars because I was getting away slower.
It was beautiful here tonight. AND there was that cast of full contact yachting.
Its a new day and I'm glad I don't have sore nuts, though they were feeling mighty big yesterday.Last January I started the year out by going to the Emergency ROOM,with a dislocated shoulder-seriously dislocated and I lost farm all in same month-that was a clue last year didn't start out to well.Hoping this year will be better-hoping I will not have to do anything dramatic. Some folks like to poke at you with a stick. Not tolerating any stick poking this year. The people that helped me through my hard times,I WILL help anyway I can-the people that laughed at me,talked about me behind my back-kicked me while I was down-better stay out of my way this year, because I am being very vocal this year about my feelings about certain indiviuals.Four people came up asking me favors yesterday(wanting to hunt for free]-all men,one of the four has been a friend.Who do you think got the favor.Bobbie I hope you got your tools back, men are notoriously bad about returning tools, atleast they are around here. One thing about lawsuits it lets you know who your buddies are. That is one good thing that came out of the lawsuit-2011 here I come.
I'm with you Miz! Couldn't stay awake and slept through it all! Legs started acting up at 6 and by 8:30 I was falling asleep in my chair. Going to read all the posts now.
I hope 2011 will be a better year for you all. Mine has started off rough, but I pray it will get better. Thank you all for your concern. I feel abandoned and betrayed by my biological family so I am extremely thank full for my online family. Thank again and enjoy the first day of 2011. Stay safe.
