Miz and her husband are safe and sound, they just got behind the 8 ball and missed the plane and now Miz says she feels sick. tuck into bed and order room service! Big bowl of soup! I have all the fixings for my chicken soup if she needs it tomorrow.
Poor Miz. reminds me of our trip to Maui in 03. we missed our plane because 1. I left manicure scissors (ooow scary) in my carry on bag, Hubby ran to put in checked bags, and 2. my Mother's husband--may he rest in peace--was carrying his "briefcase" with a 2 liter of Jack Daniels and it was too heavy for him, wouldn't let us help him, so we missed it. Went to the bar for a few hours. But this is not like "Home Alone". I think Miz just can't believe she is getting out of the snow, gonna meet Peach and Bobbie on THE BOAT. It is a DREAM COME TRUE. Huh, LindaHeart? we gonna be there some day, all of us. Everyone on FB? just went there, I'm a newbie again. foreign language.
yep christina , we ll meet at bobbie s boat one day . will let ya all know when so we could have one hellva reunion . dad may live another 5 more yrs who knows ? he s a fighter . bless his heart . ah supper s ready , i think , sis makin mac n cheese , im hungry and can just eat a whole hog alone . :-) eek nana . meow at ya all later xxoox
Sure Miz has been brave to move with a weather like this. She'll be better tomorrow! When she gets to the boat. Another uneventful day here, tomorrow my brother is coming as it is my mother's birthday. Everything seems to me so pointless today, but I hope tomorrow I will be better. "nite to everyone
rossella , happy birthday to ur mom for me . give her a hug too and big kiss on her cheek . bet she love that ! when i do that to my dad he smiles so big , he s feelin loveeee . yes miz is so brave . she s also sick with sore throat , hope tmr she be 99 percent better and be 100 percent better once she lands on bob s boat :-)
Happy Birthday!!!! to rossella's momma............... miz needs to gargle with a drop of plain old Lysol in some water...by golly that sore throat will be gone in a flash...... frozen pipes thawed today..not sure col was real thrilled with that since today is bath day...;D....but she was a good girl. She pretty much just walks around in a daze now. We go to her bedroom to pick out clean clothes, take shoes off, take ears out then she just stands there and says "what do we do now"...to the bathroom and she asks again what she is supposed to do. Then after bath we get all dressed and put some perfume on and leave her to read on her newspaper a little more, but now she puts makeup on....hubby says she is playing house. Blackest black mascara on an 86 yr old is just plain wrong! Got her doggie cleaned up and col hasn't been feeding him people food for a couple of days....making her let him outside several times a day...may get her trained yet! My blind little poodle is awake....time to get carried outside. Hope everyone has a peaceful night.....Hugz to all!!!
Oh Jam! LYSOL?! help me!! How about Hydrogen peroxide? I thought that was bad enough! Whoo Hoo! Jen, we love you! We love EVERYONE here!!! When I am feeling down, or tired, or alone, I think of ALL of you, and I feel so good. I told my sister about this site today. she said, Oh, that's nice. She didn't get it. Sad, I thought. I like my path. I am here, with all of you. Have a good night. Love and HUGS, Christina
Yep, Lysol is one of those old home remedies from years ago....the Lysol in the dark brown bottle. Heck I don't know if it's even sold that way anymore. I used to get a catalog...I think it was the "Vermont Country Store"....oh my goodness the things they carry....remember Tangee lipstick? How about Evening in Paris perfume? Stuff that I haven't seen since I was a little girl.....was fascinating to look through. Time to see if the col is ready for bed.....have a great evening everyone!
We find it a Walmart you have to look but it is there the concentrated Lysol in brown bottle....We get that Catalog too Love that stuff..wish I could order some...
Oh, man, that's funny about the toothbrush. My mom has always been kind of gross, but since her TBI, it's gotten really bad. I care for both of my parents, and my dad suffers some horrible constipation. One day he stopped up the toilet, and my mom came upstairs and said that she got most of the poop out but that it's still stopped up. She reached her bare hand in the potty and got handfuls of my dad's poop out of it and put it in a garbage can with no bag. She's partially paralyzed, so she cannot effectively wash her hands, so she proceeds to rinse them off and then starts touching everything (which is normal with her) with her good hand. I had to sterilize half of my house. My kids now call her 'Poop Hand Maw Maw'.
Good Morning, People! I was just thinking before I was fully awake that we had not had a decent Gross Out in several days, maybe due to the ice and snow, but ceejay came through for us! Way to Go! You have come to the right place! Whoo Hoo! It's Superbowl! Already at 8 am in CA I have seen the Cheese lady carving and heard about the cheese hat that saved the guy in the plane crash, and seen all the remarkable people from Wisconsin (Go, Packers!!) with their charming head gear. I'm happy for them! My husband has bet on them, and I wish him well. I am a Steelers fan, and have been since the days of Rocky Bleier, Franco Harris, Lynn Swan, etc. They truly were, the very best team the NFL EVER experienced! Nostalgia about that team tears me up--it was so good, just like the Dream Team of Basketball with Kareem, Magic:))), Carl Malone, The Byrd, Scottie Pippen, et al. OH MAN! and the 1980 Ice Hockey Team-my son had just been born in January 1980, and I sprawled on the sofa with that tiny baby sleeping on my chest, watching the triumph of the United States!!! I pray for that feeling of triumph, today, and everyday, in the simple, yet most difficult job to do on the planet: Care Giving. I wish you all a Blessed SuperBowl Experience today, and a Triumphant Care Giving Experience Every day. Oh yes, and at least one, super-duper Gross Out a week. That's enough. Other things take up our time. {{{{{{{LOVE and HUGS to Captain Bobbie, Miz, Peach, SSK, Jen, Jam, LindaHeart, Truecolors, CUZ, ceejay, headbanger, chillout, angie, Selfish Siblings, and all you beautiful Friends}}}}} Have a great Day! christina
CeeJay....Poop hand maw maw! *snickers, giggles, cackles, sideblasting, hipslapping, ROLFMAO* I don't know why that is so funny to me today...it just is.
Our bathroom sink is broken and can't be used. So my stink hand maw maw has had to use baby wipes on her chocolate fingers. Hopefully we'll get it fixed soon.
Hoping for STEELERS over packers today. My husband is a huge fan and I hope it is a marvelous game for his sake. I'm in the stands with Christina today!
Hope everyone does something enjoyable today. *hugs to each of you*
Just got through changing col's pants.....does smell qualify as a nasty gross out? And then got to clean the 1/2" of doggie pee around the bottom of the kitchen trash can. Or how about the totally moldy veggie tray I found stashed in her fridge and she's yelling at me to not throw it away, she can rinse it all off...arrggghhhhh!!!!!! I told her today her days of wandering up and down the aisles in the store are over, she is so unsteady on her feet and of course she argues that she can just hold onto the cart! It is a 3 hour ordeal of watching her touch everything, just like a child, and who the heck has time for that? I suggested she put her boots on and step outside while there is a clean, dry place on her patio and you would have thought I asked her to cut her foot off!!!! Sent hubby off to the store...feels great to not have to do it all by myself....it has been a year since he has had to do anything at all except get up and go to work, so getting him to change his routine and help out will take some time.....it's now a shared household, except for the col.....there are just things no son should have to do to his momma, doctor or not.....:) Will be having tacos and watching the game later, not sure which team we are rooting for....:) Hugz to all!!!!!!!
Hi guys guess I will have to go with Pittsburg since the grand-daughter goes to school when my husband was alive he would be gang ho for a team and I would be for the other team and when he was quiet I knew his team was losing and would say how are we doing when he jumping up and down his team would be winning
OMG we are at the BOAT!!!! It's so awesome!! I'm sick but it's just bad at night so that's okay. Went out to dinner and that was yummy and then to CVS and to the grocery store and got our essentials. Hubby is making coffee for the morning. I'm in my sweats and we are chillin'. We plan to go to St. Augustine tomorrow to check out the fort and history stuff and the little shops and places to eat and such. It is soooooo wonderful to finally meet Bobbie and she is a hoot and so kind. We had a great time at dinner. I am so happy to finally be here. We had a hell of a day yesterday. Darn snow was very dangerous and we forgot that Indiana is an hour later than Illinois and missed our flight. So, we get a hotel and damn it, no restaurant or room service. So, we spent way too much money on lukewarm pizza delivered. OOPS!! But we are here and snug and I'm ready to hit the hay but I don't want to. It's too fun being here. I do need to sleep though so I will feel okay tomorrow. Love you all. You will love it here. Wish we could all have a party. Take good care. I hope the storms aren't hitting you too hard.
Miz, hubbie, and bobbie, glad you made it there and are having a good time. Hope you all sleep well tonight and have a good day tomorrow. You will get to have coffee on the BOAT! I'm trying to stay awake for the Superbowl but it's not quite my thing this year. good night, ssk
