It is your sole responsibility to select the appropriate care for yourself or your loved one. We work with both you and the Participating Communities in your search. II. How We Are Paid. We do not charge you any fee – we are paid by the Participating Communities. Some Participating Communities pay us a percentage of the first month's standard rate for the rent and care services you select. We invoice these fees after the senior moves in.

IV. No Obligation or Commitment. You have no obligation to use or to continue to use our services. Because you pay no fee to us, you will never need to ask for a refund.

Consumers have many avenues to address a dispute with any referral service company, including the right to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office at: Consumer Protection Division, 800 5th Avenue, Ste. 2000, Seattle, 98104 or 800-551-4636.
VI. No Waiver of Your Rights. Back from salon....absolutely love my hair.....finally it's back the way I like it.....dark brown and short....messy and spiky all over...so easy to take care of. Hubby says he loves it!!! Doggie to vet at 4 pm, then I think I can relax. col is sleeping on couch, hope she stays there a while....was a little congested last night.....oh please no colds, bronchitis or pneumonia......in all my ems years I could never handle goobers.....still can't.
Will check back in after vet appt and try to get caught up on all the posts.....Hugz!!!!!!

Hi guys finally got caught up I wonder what the tempest in the teapot was all about I had not read anything to take offance with Defer I am so sorry about your husband losing his job that really stinks at my work they were trying to get rid of us old nurses like 55 and over so I was able to take disability and left-I had been working for so many years in such pain but still get around faster then the 20 yr. olds. I f he is handy fixing things he should put a note up in senior centers they usually have bullitin boards and widows always need some little thing fixed-before long he will not be underfoot-do you have a home depot near you they are going to hire 60,000 people. I am up to my ears redoing paperwork that I have already done after my husband died I can not believe it-good thing I still have xanax to take. My on-line dating is not going anyplace men my age want babes are they serious.

Linda, When I went to go pick up mom on monday morning, I didn't call first but when I got there around ten she was sitting on her bed with her bag packed and her coat on and when I walked into her room she stood right up and starting walking out, She was Ready To Go! I don't think she even noticed the work I did around here, But she seems very happy to be home.
Austin, that's what sucks sometimes with women and men. A lot of older men want younger women. I was looking for someone older and I ended up with someone 11 years younger!! We get looks I know. I used to notice it but now I don't. I don't care. Hubby would just give them "the look" lol. Please don't give up. There is someone out there for you.

Has anyone else thought about a living room floor that's tile with a big drain in the middle and a hose bib on the wall? Hose that sucker down... indoor outdoor patio furniture, hose that down. Tell grandma to drop trow and tie her shoe..... hose THAT down.... she'd probably do a forward roll and continue down the driveway to the consternation of the neighbors. Screw them. Hose THEM down. Finish it all off and hose yourself down....
Shoot, I haven't even found a little kitten to call my own yet!!! If and when I do, I'll join the club, LOL From some of the pictures I see, looks like they are still in prison or should be...
There seems to be an animal thing with caregivers. Mostly cats but dogs and other critters too. Umm, what other critters?? Not sure. We feed some outside cats that seem to be wild. They don't hang around. They just eat at night. We even had my friend feed them when we were gone, bless her heart. I love critters so much I don't eat them. Just my preference, don't mind if ya all do. Hubby does. It's just the cruelty I can't stand. I can't stand to watch those Animal Cops shows. Makes me too sad and angry. And, we as a nation need to be more kind to the animals we use for food. Just my two cents for what it's worth, which ain't much now days. Maybe one cent?? I'll be here all week. I will. It's what I do.
List of critters I have or have had in my lifetime:
I currently have 2 chihuahuas who are the apples of my eye. I had a severe macaw that I had to give away to my daughter so I could move into paradise and take care of grandma. That made me sad.
I have had over the years: Various dogs that all have taken a piece of my heart to doggie heaven; Rabbits; hamsters...both the regular and siberian kinds; Guinea pigs; All kinds of birds from parakeets, cockatiels, lovebirds, conures and macaws; a skunk; a baby alligator; hermit crabs, fish, 2 cats; and turtles. We didn't have any livestock like horses, cows, goats or sheep.
My dad was just the coolest animal collector....he gave my mother many gray hairs. LOL
I'm happy now with my 2 chichi's but I can see the link between animal people and caregiving. Animals don't ask for much and they give you so much in return.
I'm not a vegitarian now, but I did watch a TV show once that upset me so much I went off all meat for 2 years. Finally one day I looked at a steak and my love affair with the vegitables was OVER.
Someone on another thread posted that it would be a good idea to stick to the subject or start a thread where you could go to vent........geez...............wait a minute.....did I forget to vent today? OBMAJ.
Vet report: Doggie is now 21 lbs.......anal gland infected again, but not as bad, also has a tumor under his tail, so after I get to push more meds down his little throat for 28 days he will recheck. $600-$1000 to remove tumor which might or might not be benign. For an 11 yr old dog...hmmmmmm what to do, what to do? Came home and explained the whole thing, no treats, no people food, no chocolate PLEASE, no banquet frozen dinners, vet will accept 14 lbs, she looks at me and says "isn't he cute".......will someone please pass the gd pillow???????????????? mmmmmm this glass of rum and coke is pretty tasty.
bobbie glad to hear you are feeling better....i always thought KFC turned into a block of cement whenever you swallow. I love it though....so I too suffer.....but I'm not sure that caused your sickies......hubby has been holding court on the throne for several days....some type of bacteria floating around. I've warned him to not give it to me, I really need to get away next week.
Just heard a motorcycle go past the house......I want to get out and go!!!!!! I have a feeling this is the year hubby is going to make me learn to ride the Piaggio, automatic, no clutch, but my brain won't allow my right hand to throttle correctly or to let go when I need to slow down......I may be the only incompetent motorcycle rider alive.......oh well, I'll just sit on the back and enjoy the scenery.
Oh Jam. That poor dog. :( I never could learn to drive a stick. Never even tried a motorcycle. Just rode on the back of em. :)) Was so fun. Sitting on the back and enjoying the scenery sounds good. I remember when I was living in CA and was so unhappy and I always wanted a full tank of gas. Kinda gave me a high like I could just drive and drive away if I wanted to. Eventually I did. Coulda been a rich woman too if I'd stayed. But I'm not that kinda woman and he cheated so... there ya go. See, I WILL be here all week. ;)
The Catskills, Mom used to tell stories of her summers waitressing at Grossingers when she was in college, then a few years ago I came across a really sad film on utube of what the catskills are like now with all the resorts abandoned and wrecked, including Grossingers, and at first i wanted to show it to her but then decided against it.

I, on the other hand, love to take things apart and make them work again! I have all the power tools in the cellar and make more use of screw drivers and hand tools than he does. I will definitely need a rubber room for myself in the very near future! In the meantime, I have to try to find a part time job that will get me health insurance. That's the one thing that is scary for me right now.
