Nice oak leg straight off a Steinway. with that little roller thingy. I'm punchy and here's why:
Subject: Bilge Pudding.
Nik, the Cat and I wake up this am to the aroma of bm.
Brand new holding tank and pump out system, etc etc. Man oh man..... Nik's on the boat for a little over a week and breaks the crapper. I always knew he was full of it and I know I'm full of it and in no time the boat was full of it.
Went up dock to see the guys and they came down and we got it all happy and smelling like daisies. turns out that a vent got blocked and I learned more about boat crappers than I needed to but Hey! you never know when that knowledge will come in handy. At least we were not at sea with the waves tossing us all around while I'm in the bilge trying to fix it. that would be tough. the Cat was suitably grossed out and sat in her clean catbox while we all ran around hosing and bleaching.
Got the 'get home' engine up and running and sounding happy and that is a big deal. that's the little engine that could. that's the little engine that could move us across an ocean because it uses under a gallon an hour. Between that little engine and the staysail with a following wind.... shoot we might be able to get it up to, I dunno, maybe 3 kts..... tide with us, maybe 4-5 kts. shave your legs 4 times between Panama and Hawai'i.
K, on our way to the wake. And I gotta say this. We are all friends and as friends we are not going to intentionally say anything to each other that was meant as an insult or to be offensive or that would hurt the other person. We gotta remember that. Sure there have been some "friends" in the past that turned ugly but when someone turns ugly we know it right away cause it's ugly. Let's give each other a break. We are all going through sucky stuff. We are all on edge. But we got some really awesome people on here. All of us. Let's just try to remember that and what is important. I am one of the most sensitive people I know and I learned this. I have also learned that no matter who it is in your life, they are gonna let you down at least once. That's where forgiveness comes in. Love you ALL. Always and forever. K, enough of my dissertation.
We're goin' 90. We gotta get to FIL's house and change into our wake clothes. Need to be at the funeral home by 3:30 and according to our GPS we will be at FIL's at around 3:00. Not much time. It's always a freaking rush. But it will be okay.
I always get the feeling that the book-learned (versus the RealLife-Learned) believe that they are dealing with just the brain, when It seems to me that we are dealing with the brain, AND the mind that uses the brain as a tool.
ex: If Bobbie heads off to the Bahamas, she might become disoriented and frightened when she pulls up to a melting nuke plant. WE know that it would be wise to assure Bobbie that's "it's ok, there are nice things about this place, look how nice and polite everyone is lining up for earthquake rations, and get a load of this internet tech!" while Skywriter would come up from rewiring the bowthruster below and say "OK, you're in the Bahamas now. 3 gazillion yen please.".
Hey Ted! Good one. but i ain't letting any sky oriented folks near my shiny new bowthruster....
Seemyass! I totally LOVED your posts and if that is what you're talking about a$$, more please. Somebody slap me! arrarrraharhar and the next one where you're screaming aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. that was hilarious. Everybody expressing themselves is wassup here. I am sorry to hoot on about your pain and I hope you know I know what caregiving pain is, but funny is funny. that's another thing that is what it is. When it's funny it's funny. I'll call you seemeride next time....... love ya kid.
I have not smoked an illegal green joint in over 30 years. My favorite was Thai stick. I developed a board game one evening--you know how I love Board Games, "Big Picture, Zoom out, see the how the pieces fit together, roll the dice, you lose, you win, take a chance." Anyway, it was called, "Influential Perception"*. It was a great game, but like that joke about seniors, I can't remember how you played it. I could remember when I smoked, but then I would forget. * please remember that I, christina28, came up with this name, as I did "Moted", after a flub by seeme; also named Ladeeda: Chaquita. It's the closest I can get to a copyright. so, anyone have the munchies?
Ted, I do have business cards myself. They have Gary Busey's picture on them, and he is eating bananas. The therapy advertised goes along with those "plants" ya. ll are talking about... And there is a picture of sky in the background.
