yes, but the 7 little men eat it all! My friend Nancy brought me to Hershey, last time I visited USA. I had mystic chocolate visions. I still remember the song "Hershey chocolate world...."
"See's" candy, Rosella. Started by a sweet little old lady named Mary See in 1921. The family run business is still in Los Angeles, about 20 minutes from where I grew up near Pasadena, CA. But, have you tried to new chocolates they add coarse sea salt to? O M G!!! Dark, semi-sweet chocolate with just a few grains of divine salt to cut the sweetness and make a sweetnsalty sensation in your boca. Try it, with a Cabernet. Or Pinot Noir. Miz and Peach and Cap: don't pour salt on the See's. It is balanced and perfect as it is! I talked about chocolate, now I will not eat some, because I must refill my Mother's box today, and they always give a free sample. Maybe just the one. Jen, once a guy I did not know came up behind me in a bar and tried to grab me. My quick reflexes and defense training landed my right, very pointy elbow in his GUT. It was a good feeling. Not for him, but for me. Justice was served. Perhaps you can come up with something appropriate to fend of a DOMFP. Just thinking...of your satisfaction, Jen. Snow White Chocolate in the snow, Rosella?
hi everyone, jen, that made me laugh, "hope he's in a box by summer" I'm still jumping rope and today did a few laps of slow jogging around the neighborhood. I go early morning and look in the house to see if mom is still sleeping and then do another loop, etc. Don't worry, I'm not getting into great shape , I still have the spare tire and muffin top.! Oh, gotta go, mom is trying to get up. maybe we'll go for a ride. have a good afternoon ssk
Headbanger, for us the refrain is "WAWGH"? (when are we going home?) Where: "home", is her parents'home. It is repeated 1000 times a day. Christina, meow brother did not come because his wife was sick and he can't drive here alone (and mostly, he cannot spend 2 hours with his mother and his sister if he is not supported by his wife) (because of course he is afraid that my mother and I can hurt him/kill him/infect him ( I don't know what he is afraid of, but he does not move without his bodyguard)) (My SIL is much nicer than him, BTW). I hope they are coming next week. I didn't tell my mother that it was her birthday, in order not to make her sadder. (because nobody visited her for her birthday) What about the famous salt chocolate? Did it get to destination? (What do you eat when you are on the mountain? Snow chocolate?)
Fp tried on a suit (hope he is in it in a box by summer) that he has not worn since well it was in style circa 1968 I am thinking here...he WALKED into the living room to show us, I don't know that it fit or what a sharp dressed man looked like...he got so close to me I almost ran. Mom snapped at him about not gonna pick him up off the floor...Up they go do taxes today as I have no money I don't need to do anything...Whatever...I come upstairs as usual he says good morning to me and NOT Mom which both creeps me out and hurts mom...God take him today!
Glad miz and hubby got in OK and are having a nice trip!
Hope Linda and Deef and everybody else East do not get more snow....
Morning everyone, Yes, Headbanger, I felt bad for the Steelers, but Rothenburger needs all the humbling he can get. Besides my husband bet on the Packers, so everyone was happy. The kids cooked. Mother behaved until bedtime, when she insisted 5 minutes after she said she was tired and ready for bed and had to go to the bathroom, that (snidely snicker) she never goes to bed in the middle of the afternoon. Yes, I know Mother. That's why we're going to bed now, at 9 pm. Well, I for one will not give anyone a hard time today, Bobbie. Did someone do that? I thought we have all been behaving ourselves lately. I promise to be loving and supportive. I was concerned with BonnieO's new thread yesterday. Bonnie, if you're reading this: We're all in the boat, and some days are so much more on the edge than others. It's tough when you feel totally alone and no support, and I am so sorry for your angst. I pray you are able to take the action you need very soon. I am thinking of all my friends this morning: How is Deefer? Hope you are over shoveling and you are getting some rest? Is that a stupid thing to say? Jam and Jen--are you warm and comfy, how is col and fp? Lindaheart, glad pa is better--how are YOU?! ssk, how many jumps did you do today? That is so hard to do, I commend you on your determination. The only way I can do it is on my tip toes--like a boxer--and jump without skipping--and I think I can get to 6. Pirate Queen, Selfish Siblings--hope to hear from you soon. Hope your visit went well this weekend, PQ, and you are getting a better idea what you will do:) Rosella, meow, meow, purr. How was Mom's birthday and bro's visit? Hope you had a great time. Ted? Boat to Ted, Boat to Ted.... Cuz, you are the joke BOMB and I so appreciate your constant support. Some are groaners, but aren't we all? hehe Well, at least 3 people I am not worried about today, make that 5, since hubbies are there. Soon to be 7. AHHHHHH, B O A T. Have a wonderful relaxing time all on R & R. All the rest of us, have a Blessed day and I'm thankful for all of my friends here:)) Love and Hugs, Christina
I'm sitting her listening to the baby monitor waiting for Grandma to start braying...bahhhh, bahhhh, bahhhh, WSGMOOTB? Which roughly translated it will somebody get me out of this bed? Which she will repeat 15-20 times before I get up the steps to her room.
The feeling is quite a bit different than waiting for my granddaugher to wake up from her nap so I can tickle her tummy and hear her giggles.
Wow Captain Bobbie! Enjoy your visit with Miz, and Miz you enjoy your visit with the Captain. Have a wee drink for me on the bridge.
Christina, I am wearing a black armband for the Steelers today. My husband was also blue watching the cheese heads run away with the game. I didn't see the fire in the Steelers last night.
Cuz...love your jokes.
To everyone else have a wonderful and peaceful day. May your gifts be many and your messes be few.
Good Morning Caregivers! Miz and Husband and i just had COFFEE!!!! husband has to have his kind so he got an automatic coffeemaker, big thing of coffee and got it all cleaned up and set out the night before. He makes GOOD coffee and ididn't have to do a thing. WooHoo! Miz is a lovely person and very pretty. She has blonde hair and a nice trim figure which works out for me because I don't and get to finish eating what she doesn't have room for. Works out for her husband too! They are having a smoke on the 'back porch' or cockpit of the boat and seem to be having a good time and I hope they get to do whatever it is they want while they're here. love you guys a lot and I hope no one gives anyone a hard time today. lovbob

Miz, hubbie, and bobbie, glad you made it there and are having a good time. Hope you all sleep well tonight and have a good day tomorrow. You will get to have coffee on the BOAT! I'm trying to stay awake for the Superbowl but it's not quite my thing this year. good night, ssk
OMG we are at the BOAT!!!! It's so awesome!! I'm sick but it's just bad at night so that's okay. Went out to dinner and that was yummy and then to CVS and to the grocery store and got our essentials. Hubby is making coffee for the morning. I'm in my sweats and we are chillin'. We plan to go to St. Augustine tomorrow to check out the fort and history stuff and the little shops and places to eat and such. It is soooooo wonderful to finally meet Bobbie and she is a hoot and so kind. We had a great time at dinner. I am so happy to finally be here. We had a hell of a day yesterday. Darn snow was very dangerous and we forgot that Indiana is an hour later than Illinois and missed our flight. So, we get a hotel and damn it, no restaurant or room service. So, we spent way too much money on lukewarm pizza delivered. OOPS!! But we are here and snug and I'm ready to hit the hay but I don't want to. It's too fun being here. I do need to sleep though so I will feel okay tomorrow. Love you all. You will love it here. Wish we could all have a party. Take good care. I hope the storms aren't hitting you too hard.
Hi guys guess I will have to go with Pittsburg since the grand-daughter goes to school when my husband was alive he would be gang ho for a team and I would be for the other team and when he was quiet I knew his team was losing and would say how are we doing when he jumping up and down his team would be winning
Just got through changing col's pants.....does smell qualify as a nasty gross out? And then got to clean the 1/2" of doggie pee around the bottom of the kitchen trash can. Or how about the totally moldy veggie tray I found stashed in her fridge and she's yelling at me to not throw it away, she can rinse it all off...arrggghhhhh!!!!!! I told her today her days of wandering up and down the aisles in the store are over, she is so unsteady on her feet and of course she argues that she can just hold onto the cart! It is a 3 hour ordeal of watching her touch everything, just like a child, and who the heck has time for that? I suggested she put her boots on and step outside while there is a clean, dry place on her patio and you would have thought I asked her to cut her foot off!!!! Sent hubby off to the store...feels great to not have to do it all by myself....it has been a year since he has had to do anything at all except get up and go to work, so getting him to change his routine and help out will take some time.....it's now a shared household, except for the col.....there are just things no son should have to do to his momma, doctor or not.....:) Will be having tacos and watching the game later, not sure which team we are rooting for....:) Hugz to all!!!!!!!
CeeJay....Poop hand maw maw! *snickers, giggles, cackles, sideblasting, hipslapping, ROLFMAO* I don't know why that is so funny to me today...it just is.
Our bathroom sink is broken and can't be used. So my stink hand maw maw has had to use baby wipes on her chocolate fingers. Hopefully we'll get it fixed soon.
Hoping for STEELERS over packers today. My husband is a huge fan and I hope it is a marvelous game for his sake. I'm in the stands with Christina today!
Hope everyone does something enjoyable today. *hugs to each of you*
Good Morning, People! I was just thinking before I was fully awake that we had not had a decent Gross Out in several days, maybe due to the ice and snow, but ceejay came through for us! Way to Go! You have come to the right place! Whoo Hoo! It's Superbowl! Already at 8 am in CA I have seen the Cheese lady carving and heard about the cheese hat that saved the guy in the plane crash, and seen all the remarkable people from Wisconsin (Go, Packers!!) with their charming head gear. I'm happy for them! My husband has bet on them, and I wish him well. I am a Steelers fan, and have been since the days of Rocky Bleier, Franco Harris, Lynn Swan, etc. They truly were, the very best team the NFL EVER experienced! Nostalgia about that team tears me up--it was so good, just like the Dream Team of Basketball with Kareem, Magic:))), Carl Malone, The Byrd, Scottie Pippen, et al. OH MAN! and the 1980 Ice Hockey Team-my son had just been born in January 1980, and I sprawled on the sofa with that tiny baby sleeping on my chest, watching the triumph of the United States!!! I pray for that feeling of triumph, today, and everyday, in the simple, yet most difficult job to do on the planet: Care Giving. I wish you all a Blessed SuperBowl Experience today, and a Triumphant Care Giving Experience Every day. Oh yes, and at least one, super-duper Gross Out a week. That's enough. Other things take up our time. {{{{{{{LOVE and HUGS to Captain Bobbie, Miz, Peach, SSK, Jen, Jam, LindaHeart, Truecolors, CUZ, ceejay, headbanger, chillout, angie, Selfish Siblings, and all you beautiful Friends}}}}} Have a great Day! christina
Oh, man, that's funny about the toothbrush. My mom has always been kind of gross, but since her TBI, it's gotten really bad. I care for both of my parents, and my dad suffers some horrible constipation. One day he stopped up the toilet, and my mom came upstairs and said that she got most of the poop out but that it's still stopped up. She reached her bare hand in the potty and got handfuls of my dad's poop out of it and put it in a garbage can with no bag. She's partially paralyzed, so she cannot effectively wash her hands, so she proceeds to rinse them off and then starts touching everything (which is normal with her) with her good hand. I had to sterilize half of my house. My kids now call her 'Poop Hand Maw Maw'.
We find it a Walmart you have to look but it is there the concentrated Lysol in brown bottle....We get that Catalog too Love that stuff..wish I could order some...
Yep, Lysol is one of those old home remedies from years ago....the Lysol in the dark brown bottle. Heck I don't know if it's even sold that way anymore. I used to get a catalog...I think it was the "Vermont Country Store"....oh my goodness the things they carry....remember Tangee lipstick? How about Evening in Paris perfume? Stuff that I haven't seen since I was a little girl.....was fascinating to look through. Time to see if the col is ready for bed.....have a great evening everyone!
Oh Jam! LYSOL?! help me!! How about Hydrogen peroxide? I thought that was bad enough! Whoo Hoo! Jen, we love you! We love EVERYONE here!!! When I am feeling down, or tired, or alone, I think of ALL of you, and I feel so good. I told my sister about this site today. she said, Oh, that's nice. She didn't get it. Sad, I thought. I like my path. I am here, with all of you. Have a good night. Love and HUGS, Christina

Hoping for STEELERS over packers today. My husband is a huge fan and I hope it is a marvelous game for his sake. I'm in the stands with Christina today!
Hope everyone does something enjoyable today. *hugs to each of you*
