Peach- we have an arsenal here, but I keep a Bersa Thunder 380 close at hand, a Beretta 22 in my bedside table, we have 2 full gun safes......pretty darn protected here. BIG prayers for your friend, I wish her well while she goes through this ordeal. I like your type of exercise, works for me! Keep a close eye on your wrist......"wild" kitty teeth not clean....:( Hubby woke me up and said "FEED me".....well alrighty then....he has to work tonight, so fixed sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs...took a plate full down to COL and she promptly fed it to her fatty doggie and ate a rice krispie bar! ARRGGGHHHHH! I've noticed a trend lately where she eats lots of sweet stuff....is this normal? She is looking rather frail and droopy this morning. Guess I will clean kitchen and load dishwasher now so I can sit all afternoon and watch the Chiefs kick some Raiders behind....:)
Good morning , why not feeling so good, bobbie? Sunday morning blahs. Me too, "cuz there's something on a sunday, makes a body feel alone" I need an attitude adjustment! ssk
My Mother-in-law takes knives and cuts her toe nails, and digs them out, then puts them back in drawer. tips: hide them, also (if possible) keep a separate locked bathroom, where your personals can be safe from hygiene challenged individuals; you cannot hide everything; i know, i was doing dishes and found her teeth in them, many things to gross and we must not feel guilty, being disgusted or grossed out is unavoidable; it' like living with a giant Rat! Imagine their pain,(if they knew).
Chocolate is a vegetable. How, you ask? Chocolate is derived from cacao beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar BEETS. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.
I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, So I got my doctor's permission to Join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, By the time I got my leotards on, The class was over.
Thank you Georgia for understanding.I'm to d@mn southern for a bunch of Hoodlums to imtimidate me and run me off of my dirt. There's nothing in this World more important to fight for-dirt and family.Hope murpheys law has expired for you-and things get better-going to bed now.
Wuzup Crew Family?!?! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF Y'ALL!!!
Diane, I am SO sorry that you've had to go through this! You shouldn't have to put up with this crap with all of the responsibilities of caregiving that you have...Not even just that...you shouldn't have to put up with it PERIOD!!! You don't deserve to be treated badly! He's just a bully! I used to get bullied a lot as a kid & I don't put up with it now! You deserve the best! Please don't take to heart what he said. Listen to 'yore Momma'...she wants you...anybody else simply don't matter! I agree that you need to video her telling you that. Another suggestion is to make some notes, while it's still frest on your mind, who said what, when, where, who witnessed, etc. Put both in a safe place so they don't get lost. It's called covering your butt. Sad, but necessary. Please KNOW that you're NOT alone!!! If there's a whoop butt party planned I want in! We got your back! K? BIG hugs to you, sister!
Miz, I don't I don't know how & I don't know when, but everything's gonna be alright! Don't let your emotions build up. If you need to cry, then cry. If you need to scream, then scream! If you let it build up you'll be like a pressure cooker & will blow when you least expect it. You're an amazing lady! I don't respect many people, but I do respect you! BIG hugs to you! I'm here anytime you need me, k?
Tenny, I'm so glad that you've got hutspa (sp?) It takes real guts not to let people run over you! I haven't told you, but I am really impressed by how you've handled this whole thing! You set an example for the rest of us! Thank you! It's just amazing that they have an explosives factory so close to the school! What's the watch dog group that rats people/groups out for doing the wrong thing? Wiki something. Maybe they need to know what's going on & can do a report on it. Maybe on Oprah or the national news? I'm glad that you take Lil' Tenny to a school that's safe! You're a good Momma! Hope you & Lil' Tenny are felling better, now!
Jam, thanks for the info about the hot bath. I have had several really hot showers where I've just stood & let the hot water pound on my back. Yesterday was AWFUL...really bad, but today has been better. Yesterday I felt like I'd been hit between the shoulder blades by a sledge hammer. And of all things I did something really stupid today, too! I was petting a neighborhood male Siamese kitty that has been hanging around here for about 2 years, & he bit me on the hand close to the hurt wrist. Made the hand even more sore. I felt so bad that I'd done something to scare him that he bit me. It wasn't his fault. I've cleaned the bite really good & have 'doctored' it & I'm keeping an eye on it. Murphy's Law is in full force!
Jen, I'm sorry that your Mom pruned the stuffing out of your plant. I'm glad that you took it downstairs with you! I have confidence in you that you'll baby it & bring it back even prettier than it was before. SO sweet that Deef made you a scarf & that you were wearing it. Good for two reasons...keep your neck warm outside & your heart warm inside! Gifts from TRUE friends are really special!
Bobbie, I'm glad that you had fun last night, but more than that I'm really glad that you're safe! Boats can be replaced, but not our Bobbie!
OH Jam, what kind of pistol did you say that you carry? Just curious. Larry's been a gunsmith for years.
We had a surprise invitation this morning to go to my niece's home for New Years fare...Ham, baked chicken, mac & cheese, cole slaw, turnip greens, black eyed peas, fried okra, mashed potatoes, corn bread, apple pie & cheese cake...YUM! GREAT surprise! Afterwards we sat around & played a really neat game called Apples to Apples (by Mattel). Really great game to enhance your vocabulary. We played it with the kids. Great evening. Even my sister, Bobbie, behaved...shock! Funny part was when their little boy puppy 'found' Larry's leg & got happy! Silly dog!
OH, please keep a friend of ours in your prayers & thoughts. 3 weeks ago her doc told her that she has liver cancer & gave her a month. He also told her that with chemo she could have 2-6 months so she's starting chemo on Monday. Tough road ahead of her.
Hope 2011 will knock the socks off of 2010 for all of us! Love & BIG hugs to everybody! Thanks for letting me be part of your family! Love you guys! I really do! Peach
Here's one for ya Thereis this couple and she wants her husband to paint her toilet sit with flowres etc. He goes to the paint store and gets some special epoxy paint and fixes it all up. The wife gets home and before he could tell her she sits down on the pot. She is now stuck there solid. They try for an hour to get her off with no luck. He unbolts the seat and takes her to the emergency. They got her on the gurney leaning on her elbows and knees with a sheet over her and the dr comes in lifts up the sheet and busts out laughing. The husband says what is so funny you must have seen a hundred of these and the dr says yes I have but never framed
I hate to sound like a paralegal; but SAVE all the e mails and texts you get. Whether this goes outside the family or not you both need to answer his accusations and show that he is being a bully in the situation...
hey miz i been readin catchin up hugs to diana bobbie i am glad your boat ok rain stopped here about 2pm turning colder now should be about 30 or so when we get up gona try to go to church 'last sunday my bad went out did not make it had to get it well for b day lol jen hop you are staing warm we got fire works this afternoon i got on her tonight just to keep int touch and i am glad i took the time to read the post cause i got an email that sent me to the moon i wanted to barrow sombody 38 at go on a hunt i was wishing i hadnt gotten rid of my late hubbys guns i would have proble went to jail his ex and kids sent me and email ....... he will be dead a year valentines....oooooooooo well anyway i read all and glad everone is hanging in there moma and i have dr apts. at least one every week this month i think next week we dont have any yet but the following week i think we have together 5 or 6 so we will be busy. i will try to touch base if not her on fb luv hugs all around truecolors/elizabeth
Oh Diane you have this support system and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we are behind you 100%. From this day on that nasty little nephew doesn't exist. Don't open his text messages. And why do they think you are being harsh when it's apparent they have no idea how your day-to-day living goes? Are you okay if he comes for his next 6-week visit? He needs to make an appt with you before he comes and you should make sure someone else is there with you. I am so sick of self-serving little asses who make such scenes....and they are not the ones there doing all the work. I am still mad at my own family.....I know exactly how you feel. Your momma told you how she feels and that is what is important.....not some little turd that needs to grow up! Love and hugs to you!
Flex we are the good family that most of us never had growing up and we love and care about you-we are proof that good people can come from bad childhoods-I will not go there now,
diane , u may not have anybody , u have ur mom and ur boyfriend and us ! so sweet ur mom says we have to finish this journey together ! bless her heart . u shall finish that journey with ur mom . that is what she wants . bless ur heart diane , dont forget we re ur new family ! xoxo
Thanks for your concern after last night's drama. The nephew is still being a prick sending me nasty text message. I am very hurt by his behavior and that fact that most of the family is supporting his point of view. They all seem to think I am being "harsh" on my mother. I sat down and spoke with my mother and said that perhaps I should move out since this was their opinion. She got very upset and said we started on this journey together and we would finish together. She does not want me to move out.
I find it very interesting that my nephew and the family can make these acusations when they aren't the ones to pull up her pants all day, wipe her butt, feed her, listen to her fears and confusion, take her to the doctor, change her bed multiple times a day, give up their personal life and so on. In fact, the nephew that started the sh-t last night visits his grandma about every 3-6 weeks for about 15 minutes. This nephew does not contribute financially to care for his grandmother and he is mister big shot with his own businesses. He isn't worried about how to pay for her medications, take her to doctor appointments and hold down a job.
Then there is my brother. He can't understand why I am upset with my nephew's behavior. I can't believe he just stood there and let my nephew (his son) throw me out his house. My brother, his wife and a very close family friend just let it happen. I now know I don't have anyone that supports me. This is the first time in my life I have ever felt this alone.
Well, I guess that is the life and times of Flex. I hope with all my heart that each of you will find peace, love and happiness for 2011,
Well, it's the usual lately. Hubby asleep and I used to always be in with Mom at this time. Very lonely. He wore himself out working on his computer. I worry about him. He's so tired at 40.
Well I don't know 'bout y'all, but I get a bag of frozen peas and a couple o' nasty tastin' aspirin. Hmm, or is that different than every time you get your bell rung?
