just as I was rolling up my sleeves to knock out in the corner MISS LITTLE GOODIE TWO SHOES maggie pie here comes Pat in the Hat. Okay you folks don't get it...this thread is just not about the gross stuff that our moms (or dads or whomever we are caregiving too) it's really about the underlying stress. We can overlook the toothbrush thing...that is long forgotten. What is not so easily forgotten is the stress that it takes to do it. Not all us has has a sister who will share the effort with like Miss Goodie Two shoes that wants to crap on all the rest of us. And I aint going to be so kind as to read her wrap sheet. Heck mine is gone due to this stupid website and having to relog on every so often. I have no one to help with my situation. I have no family to help, there is a sprinkling of a family and they are dysfunctional and not helping...have no sibs no hubby no kids..NO ONE TO HELP. I have to hire help....so Miss Goodie Two shoes and Pat if you want to fight with me go ahead. But you folks who just jump in here and crap on us can go to he double toothpicks. You don't know all the background story you just see some snipet about toothbrushes or whatever we are going on about and want to wag the finger. Well you know where you can stick that finger. Bobbie didn't make me sargent of arms for nothing. So come on back if you want to crap on us more...I have more words waiting back for ya!
Bobbie you were ever so gracious. I for one don't take fingers wagged in my face kindly no more!
Deef...geezus girl yep I keep my mom's house clean and neglect mine. Today I finally got a sinkfull of dishes done at my house. I cringe at all the dust and cobwebs...but I get them all at mom's house. Sigh. Rip - don;t you dare do any artistic projects without me girlfriend...wink...lol!
got a 2-fer out of ol Pat. See, now Pat doesn't have anything on his profile so we don't know whassup. For whom are you a cargiver Pat? Don't tell us you're taking a degree in this stuff because we will have you for brunch.
Hey cuz, love ya, thanks for that. Very nice. all you guys.
OK, I think we're all ok here but I am worried about Rossella and Ted and a few of the others.
I know Castaway is having a terrible time as well as Pirate. Good to see you Pirate and yes we will have that drink. Boat Drinks!! I still need to get some of those little umbrellas. C'mon Linda! We'll do it someday. the Boat will be here for you.
i wonder about Ginny, you know, she lost her brother and her mom is in her nineties and had to lose a son. Awful.
Angels to all and to all a good night. As Miz says:
Captain, I read this one! Tell me I'm a good puppy 'cause I didn't respond drastically & blow a gasket! lol At least this one has a sense of humor! Has potential...
hey Pat ~ We are all really tight & 2 of our crew have lost parents this week. Read the first couple pages from the beginning & realize we are nearing 7,500 comments since Febraury!
We are crazy in a wonderful way! More caring & compassonate than you'd ever imagine! From all over this country, italy & Phillipines ... Habit forming!
well i know we got two pilots one captain a bunch of deck hands do we have any cooks bobbie cant cook and captain at the same time r is that gp that cooks in less than 5 mins i cant rmember
rip, yes I am a very good gourmet cook, and I make fantastic scrambled eggs, pasta, prime ribs, salads, and coffee. I'm fast, efficient, and can handle many things at once. Plus, I will swab the deck. Honored. COFFEE BOAT. oops. too early for coffee.
Boats? Nah, not so much, but I have been know to paddle a canoe on the occasion. Thanks so very much for the welcome!
And if the "Shame On You", comment was meant for my benefit, by lhardeback, that was "no shame on" meant for anybody, just a suggestion that helps me daily. If it wasn't for laughin', I don't know where I'd be, but it would probably be in a long armed, one size fits all jacket, with a rear zipper. But it's all good, and if it wasn't meant for me, even gooderer.
As I was cleaning out the litter boxes here - 7 rescued / recovered from illness cats plus X number of ferals who come inside for 'litter privlages" when the ground is frozen - my mind was wandering back over today's comments.
What a crew! Jam, hit the range. You can head up security! I'll find a Taser for backup.\ Any chefs?
Now why is it when one of our's is passing that these innocent, naive people arrive & make us all shake our heads in wonder? Odd timing!
Your grossed out by your own Mama by just that, some Mama hair in a toothbrush? Okay. Do you per chance have small children, or oh my sweet Jesus, teenagers? Holy smoke I practically gag at the thought of 'em!
I truly can & do appreciate your frustration, but my best advice, is to learn to learn to laugh such things off as just more power for the course. That, and maybe occasionally try and think of the things she spent getting "grossed out" by, when you were just a squirt, squirting all manner of body functions to & fro all willy nilly like.. I'm not trying to be hard, honestly I'm not, I'm just trying to say, that attempting to find a little yuck in the smaller things (and truly that is), tends to be more productive than going, "Oh Yuck!" It's your Mama after all, I mean you do share the exact same ingredients is how I see it. Hey, just be thankful you didn't find her cleaning a litter box or toilet bowel with it ...I'm just saying ;-) Care, Peace, Patrick
As a faithful reader of tis thread from the beginning I would like to thank all the caregivers for what they have done and what they have gone through. A special thanks to my cousin Bobbie321 for sharing her life story. I've only seen her once in over 40 years and she truely is a blessing to everybody on this site.. I hope in the coming new year that this tread continues to help those in need. love you all

I can see it now. The "Grossed Out" tour bus headed to the BOAT!
Ted & I will do the wrap graphics with everyone's help.
It'll become a national event complete with a band in a second & third bus with trailers of equipment when enough musicians & video people find this thread.
True & I have the driving experience ... something to look forward to!
I think it's all straightened out now. the post ,I would like to share this poem, is a good one. I keep trying to go to sleep, but don't want to miss anything good on here.
