No way are you the bad guy. You are one of the good guys. You just have been dealt a lot of bad stuff. Please don't talk about yourself that way. It's just not true.

Rip, your friends are well meaning, maybe, but if they know your situation have a very poor sense of opportunity!!!!

What is it, Ted? Another line of that song?

Bobbie made the 6800th this morning!
We'll easily be 7,000 by Christmas, right? Hoping to hear some great stuff! Jen's cartoons were wonderful! Wish we could share with all!

I'm really tired of my well meaning friends who write of being exhausted from all the holiday parties they must attend.
One can't decide what coastal beach house to rent in January. Such stress ...

Ted! When I went to the States the first time (1981) my friend Nancy taught me that funny song: "What's the matter you? Gotta no respect. What da ya tink you do? Why ya lookin so sad? Itsanotsobad-itsaniceofaplace-shutup your face" which was supposed to be what the Italian-origin mothers told to their kids who were born in the States!
I liked that song so much that I still remember it.
(together with: "When you go to Trinidad, all the boys'll be awful glad"... and so on) (My friends always took good care of my education)
Until some minutes ago I did one of my most important jobs: "the cat heater". This is the job: a cat arrives from the garden, all cold and wet. He jumps on my lap and I have to dry him and keep him very tight, hug him with my woollen sweater and blow hot breath upon him, until he is warm and dry.
Now I will start to do my secondary work, that is support this family!
We are ready for the 1800 post, long before Christmas, as foreseen

For Bobbie, with apologies to Rosella;

A couple was touring a shipyard area in a coastal city of Italy when they saw a strange looking craft. They stopped and asked a worker, "Sir, is that a U-boat? "No," he replied, shesa belonga to da goverment."

Yup. Coffee!

making plans to move the boat and it looks like someone here may be going with me if the schedule works out. WooHoo.

met some guys last night who have boats here. Lot of drinking in the boat world.
I left after having my salad and rolls to the tune of:
Hey! ya coming back? ehhh....noooooo.

I have a Cat. Way more pleasant.

thought I'd mention this:
It's been 7 months since mom died and I am now pill free. No more anti depressants or anti anxiety pills. Prozac and Xanax.
Had some dark times and I took one Prozac about a few weeks ago but that's been it. They're in the med cab if I need them but so far so good. I haven't had a headache in weeks and I'm sleeping through the night.
Caregivers, it can happen.
Living proof that the depression of caregiving
WILL LEAVE YOU!!

I love you guys and thank you for all of your help for me personally to get where I am emotionally. BOAT!!

It's true. Yorkies have been bred way down in size. There was no such thing as a tea-cup Yorkie years ago. Even chihuahuas were bigger than some of the Yorkies I see now. Although our dogs (and us) could use more exercise, most vets only know as much as the maker of Science Diet tells them about nutrition. I remember taking such offense to the way a vet knocked my dog for being overweight that I changed vets. PS: My dog outlived the vet. Twenty pounds is a pretty big Yorkie though...lol.

my neighbor has a yorkie . she wears x-small , tiney thing and shes 5 yrs old or older ? always goes out for a walk every day .

the vet told me that way back in the early 80's yorkies were larger, but that was bred out of them. I've never seen a 20 lb yorkie.........I make sure he has water....she empties and I fill it right back up. I will take him away from her before I allow her to let him suffer.....it's bad enough he is so overweight, vet said he will die from his organs being "fat" if she doesn't slim him down.....I'm trying!
