where is the marnie guy at ? maybe he can get that tractor and dig a nice size hole for ur dog . yes it is dry here and ground is like a rock !! oh tenn i wish i could come over and help u dig a hole . get my hubby s tractor out and dig for ya . maybe get water hse and let water run thru that area and it may be lit easier to dig a hole ? be alotta mud to dig ? have u thought about creamation ? some are for it some are not . im not for it but would do it if i have nobody to dig a hole for me . hell with that lawyer ! theres death in family and he just gonna have to wait !!! xoxo
I had a lawyers appt. this morning that I forgot-just got call.We are out there trying to dig a hole big enough for our dog to have a funeral and he thinks i am concerned about his butt. I lost my temper and told secretary she can tell her office god that he is not our first priorioty and then I REMINDED HER-WHOSE WORKING FOR WHO. I doubt that will have any positive feedback.Again another example of the lack of humanity amongst the legal devils. It is very dry here and ground is hard, not making much headway,so I came in to take break. Why can't the two legged mammals have as much love in them as the 4-legged ones.People sit around trying to figure out how to take from one another, they backstabb they lie.I've known my brothers for fifty years-never felt any love from them at all;I knew my dog for 11 years and the love and loyalty was infinite-it was unmeasureable. My dad always said the more I am around people the more I RESPECT MY DOG.The more I am around animals the more primitive certain high paid individuals seem to be.It doesn't take a college education to know your family should come first-two legged mammals have a hard time with loyality.Animals don't care about money-they want food- shelter and a loving home.Lawyers make me want to puke.I was thinking the other day the similarities between lawyers and meth-addicts.They have alot in common if you think about it and I don't wish to be around either one.
Oh tennessee & lil tenny, I am so very sorry that you lost Nora. I know how losing a member of the family can be. I'm sending love and hugs your way. I am so sorry.
thanks lit tenny , i am so glad u get to stay home today . ur mom is so sweet and understands ur pain . who wants to go to school feelin down in the dump and sad . my brother always had german shepard and i loved them all , theyre so beautiful ! ive always wanted one but ended up with a mutt , part shepard and collie . she was a pretty dog lived to be 8 , got hit by a truck . broke my heart . then i got another one shepard and chow mix . she too is sweet kind dog . i wanted to get a real shepard but my gosh they are so expensive ! one thousand dollars plz ! i thought well those mix breed needs a home and theyre free . i take one and have no regrets . she is 13 yrs old and still hops and jump around when she sees me comin to take her for a walk . she has to stay in the pen cuz neighbors complains when dogs roams . plus after one i had got hit by a truck i thought no more roamin for my next dog . hope tmr u will feel stronger and able to go to school . dont want to get behind on bunch homework yuk yuk !! ive always hated homework . you take care tenny . youre a sweetheart like ur mommy . love u ! xoxo
this is lil tenny, Thank you hardebeck. Nola really meant a lot to us.German Shepards are good dogs. :) (P.S. mom didn't make me go to school today so I could be with Nola.)

tenn and tenny . i am so sorry for ur loss . now nola is no longer suffering and is up in dog heaven along with the love ones . i love german shepard , they are the best dog on earth , so smart and kind to the love ones . again i am so sorry and griefing right along with you girls . tenn u did the right thing to keep nola home . vet wouldnt be able to do anything for her and plus charge you for brinin her in . soo sorry :-( xoxox
this is lil tenny, We lost Nola, she was a member of the family. She was always there to greet us. We felt safe knowing she was out there.her favorite spot was on the porch by the door.I used to go in her doghouse with her. Our family keeps getting smaller and smaller. -lil tenny
At around 7;50 a.m. we lost our German Shepard. NOLA,was named after New Orleans. She turned 11 about 2 weeks ago. She was borned right before my daughter was born. She was a very important member of our family. She was shy and she was smart, they'll never will be another Nola.My daughter and I was with her.I think she had a stroke. She was acting like my dad in his final hour-I was having flashbacks of my dad. I almost rushed her to emergency care during the night but then remembered how my dad died in the hospital instead on his beloved farm.I did't bring her in last night because she loved her freedom. I put a blanket on her and sat with her outside most of the night. Our family is shrinking in leaps and bounds. She was always so glad to see us,she made us feel safe.Losing someone you love nevers gets any easier no matter how many times you go through it.
J- $5000,00 is it gold plated. Rossella has this become her habit staying up all night maybe you cound get her an airmattress to sleep it is low to the floor-could you ask her doc for a light med. maybe a xanax that would calm her down enought to sleep at night and be awake more during the day or is she awake in the day also-I am so sorry you have it so hard. I am sure it is the same for you as here caregivers are not given their due-people just do not realize haw hard it is-I have been on a saopbox about this and have talked to many polications running for local and state office and one women said she did not know it was such a problem in our county until her Mom got sick and how little help there was for her-the caregiver.
Hi Austin, I don't feel a caregiving angel, at all. Rather, a caregiving smoking-nostrils-dragon. I am going to bed now because I need sleeping. Before going to bed I would like to ask you an advice (I'll read your answers tomorrow, so write me when you like). My mother does not want to go to bed anymore! (in the night). Tonight, I asked her if she wanted to go to bed at 10 p.m, at midnignt, now it is almost 2 a.m. and she is still there full awake and says she does not want to go to bed. What do I have to do? Do I have to use the violence? Needless to say that I tried in every possible way to tell her she had better go to bed. I am going to bed now and I shall leave her on the couch. Most probably I will find her tomorrow morning laying on the ground, because she slipped down. But I have to go to bed, now. I have to sleep. Please give me advice! I have repeated the world "bed" at least 14 times; it means I really need to go to bed.
Hey Everybody...the ramp is going in starting Friday...No more hauling the wheel chair up and down the steps no more waiting for him to fall and break a hip...$5,000 His Money!
Georgia, what a nice thing to have possums in the garden! Mary sent me a photo coming from Montana where 2 people found bears in their garden, who were playing on their children's playground. Castoff, your Shutup seems a very smart boy. He seems the kind of cat who knows how he has to move in life, and make the most of it. He is not crazy, according to me. He pretends he is... Deef, how nice that the new cats are making themselves useful; maybe they want to thank you for what you have done for them. Don't worry for the other cats, they'll get used to them. I constantly have new cats and the old ones have crisis of jealousy, and after a while they sleep all together, new and old ones and kiss each other, and new friendships start... Linda when I hear your stories I thank God my mother weighs only 110 lbs. Miz, I understand you. Stop smoking when you really feel you can do it! We can't add a stress to another stress. Bobbie, I am glad the new kitty has a sea leg, or a sea paw. The most important thing is that she passed the test of the boat-in-,motion, I think! 'Nite to everybody. I shall try to convince my mother to go to bed, (it's midnight here)
Good afternoon everybody! Hope y'all are doing better! It's no good to be sick or down, either, & especially bad to be both at the same time!
Bobbie, glad that the owner 'manned up'! I understand you not wanting to go back there, though. I bet the dock master got in mucho trouble, giving you a hard time & you leaving! I'm so glad that you & Kitty are getting along so good! If you've got the right match they can really be a blessing...if not, they can be hell on earth! Glad that the move or the horn didn't phase her! LOL that you had the fat tail!!! And I promise that we're not deserting ship by being on FB some. It's just a great way to instantly interact with each other & be able to carry on a conversation with each other. For some of us it's the only 'face to face' interaction that we have with the outside world each day. I wish you'd come captain there, too! It's not hard & we'll be glad to help you! Just think about it, ok? It would be so much more fun with you!
Deef, glad that the new kitties are being good for your Mom! Kitty kisses on the ear...sweet! Whispering sweet nothings...sweeter! Our Gracie also gives kitty kisses! Gotta love 'em!
Castoff, my Gracie would probably have been on the ceiling with your Shutup! Don't like loud noises either. Shelbie, on the other hand, don't care...just barks at the possums that we have visiting on the front porch to eat the kitty food. She's really protective of her outside kitty buddies. It's really funny to see her with the tom cat, Pee Wee. They absolutely love each other!
Mary, I'm sorry that I missed you last night! Hope that you're doing wonderful & that you're taking some time for you! Please give Sir a hug from us!
miz, glad that Sandy's doing better! Hope you will be soon!
Kuli & Linda & Rossella, hope you guys will be feeling better soon, too!
I called Vanderbilt today, at the doctor's request, to let her know how hubs is doing on the new meds. We're seeing some improvement! He's walking better, getting up better, not drooling as much, but the tremors are still pretty bad at times. I'm waiting for her call back. They said that they'd probably increase the med to see if that would help with the tremors. I really hope so! I know that all of you know, it's really hard to see someone that you love be in this kind of shape! I think of all of you every day...several times a day...and wish that there was something that I could do to make things better for each & every one of you!
Missing several of the crew! Hope they're well, too & staying away from the dark hole!
Bobbie, thank you, again, for starting this thread & putting this crew together! What in the world would we do without each other?? I really feel sorry for the caregivers out there that haven't found the support like we have found here! My heart goes out to them! I know that y'all understand!
Deef, Good to hear the new kitties are having a positive affect on your mom. That's a huge blessing. High seniority cats will get used to the new ones eventually. Our boy came with a rap sheet which explained he needed a one-cat-household so we haven't dared to aquire another. Too many breakables anyhow. lol. Our last kitties used to rearrange the furniture for us & I don't know if I could deal with that again. Trying to keep a peaceful house now....hard enough with the phsyco we have.
Linda, Kuli, Rosella, Miz, Hope you feel better soon. Please take good care of yourselves ladies.....as best you can.
Bobbie, Good to hear kitty is settling in with her new mom. Our boy does NOT like loud noises. The air horn would have sent him thru the ceiling!!! He panicks on Tuesday morning with the trash collectors....does a low crawl into the basement.....such a coward. Must have had some trauma before we did our rescue. The doberman pinscher we had LOVED to here the knock on the door.....pizza guy & her little nub of a tail would wag the rest of her body....but not our little Shutup....basement bound. Not nearly as tough as he would have us believe.
Mom's doc called yesterday with an adjust of her meds...said the glucobride she's on might make her sugar drop too far & will phone in a change....That would explain her attitude lately. Hope that's all it is. I've had enough wicked to last me a lifetime.
Austin, Rip & the rest of the crew....have a blessed day.
Good morning everyone! I guess we are all feeling the affects of care giving! Mom has a cold and I had to keep her home from daycare today:( Not feeling well myself and thought I could go back to bed for a while. No such luck! New kitties have taken over! Good boys and very affectionate. the old guy likes to get on Mom's lap in the wheelchair. He climbs up to her neck and kisses her ear!!!! She says he's whispering things to her. He seems to calm her down some. Animals are so instinctive about when a person needs them! My original cats are really pissed about the new ones, but are starting to calm down some and come out from there hiding places. Bobbie, I started cutting my hair shorter when I had shoulder surgery. Now my niece buzzes the back and sides and cuts the rest short. Five minutes and it's done! I love the older ladies with the short spiked hairdos and now I'm one of them! So liberating!!!! Kind of like going bra-less!!! LOL Warm and rainy here, so I guess it will be a day of watching Mom and getting nothing accomplished. So much for making plans!!! Hope we all start to feel better soon!
good morning you all . sorry havent written in a while . just didnt have the engery to say anything . woke up 230 am pukin heartburn ! ohgosh it was awful ! cant sleep worth shit at night anymore . toss and turn . my whole body aches from liftin heavy dad . told him other night ure stayin in bed and he did too yesterday . it was much easier to take care of him in bed . told him last night i may get him up today , ahh will see . ijust feel weaker everyday . losing interest in anything . must be the weather . bobbie , ure moving ur boat some where eles . let me know where you land ur boat at . so i can get my map out and see how far u are from me . indiana ,, thnk u can plow thru the interstate with ur boat ? lol . i think of u everyday too . ok gotthings to do . have a good day you all . hope ya get to feelin better ! xoxo
I see that we have had a few visitors and most of the gang is checking in.
the owner of the marina that I left called yesterday to apologize for his employee and told me he'd make me a great deal to return. Mulling it over. I'll probably pass. time to move the boat to new adventures! It was very kind of the owner to acknowledge that the situation was wrong. He was away from the marina when this happened and only returned yesterday.
Linda!! Where are you? how's your pa? how are you? been thinking about you a lot.
Miz! kuli! hope you feel better. When we're stressed out the little bugs can really get a hold.
Tenny! Tenny Jr! whassup? I'm trying to get any and all mail from the other place and hopefully the card will show up. I want it!!
Deef! Flex! Deef, I like you pic. great haircut. I finally got my flowbee so I can give myself a proper haircut. I would just cut whatever was in my eyes or annoying me. It actually doesn't look that bad. According to me. i'm sure a stylist would faint.
Pirate! are you still around? SS? too busy with the election coming up. hopefully we'll hear from you soon.
The cat is a blast. I'm really enjoying her and I think she likes me. Yesterday they moved a 200' yacht and it sounded its airhorn in the channel right next to this boat. The cat was fine but I got a fat tail. oh.. just normal for me.
Rossella! I love reading your posts! How's Rip the Stitch!? love to Sir.
Crew! everybody please check in even though you guys are chatting on FB. just a one liner to let those of us not on FB know how you're doing!
Love you guys and am waiting for a caregiver or 2 to join me!
Hello Everyone. I'm here and holding it together. Had my yearly ob-gyn check up yesterday. So, I only worked two hours. Doc says I'm good. I usually have a questionable pap so I'll wait to hear. I go to a woman and she's wonderful. We talked about her dad passing away and what happened before and during that time. And also how her mom is doing. And I talked about mine. She asked me if I smoked and I said yes and she said I have to have some kind of release so she understands it.
Still not feeling the greatest. Weak and kinda sick to my stomach. I think it's cause I'm not taking care of myself or it's something serious. I don't know. Sure wish I could get on that boat for a few days. :)
I hope everyone's day is as pleasant as can be. Love you all.
Hi everybody! the weather is cold and rainy, here. We are all sick (flu, cold...) So, working and doing the usual things is even harder. I am waiting forward the driest part of winter...
Hey, all. Also just checking in. Feeling worse again today - can't seem to beat this cold/virus/whatever. It's beginning to make me irritable at work. Oh, well. Guess I deserve a turn now and then, right?
Just checking in to let you know I am alive and well. It has been a trying few days, but it too will pass. I'll try catch up with some of you on Facebook.

Love & hugs coming your way! Stay sweet!
LOL
Warm and rainy here, so I guess it will be a day of watching Mom and getting nothing accomplished. So much for making plans!!!
Hope we all start to feel better soon!

Love you guys and am waiting for a caregiver or 2 to join me!
boat biz calling.. more later.

Still not feeling the greatest. Weak and kinda sick to my stomach. I think it's cause I'm not taking care of myself or it's something serious. I don't know. Sure wish I could get on that boat for a few days. :)
I hope everyone's day is as pleasant as can be. Love you all.
love,
miz
p.s. Sandy is much better. :)
Just checking in to let you know I am alive and well. It has been a trying few days, but it too will pass. I'll try catch up with some of you on Facebook.
Take care my dear friends,
Diane
