I have reported fraud to every single official in the State of Florida. And no help is available. I finally found some. Not a lawyer because they are money hungry idiots. Even the police told me and I quote “this happens all the time”. I am so disgusted by the laws in this state. She took everything from him even his home. She had committed fraud on a federal level, very serious crimes. Not to mention the stress and emotional trauma this family has been through. She has not been to one doctors appointment. I take care of all of that. I am the sole caregiver. I get no help. While she decided to take everything from him. We now live day to day. He is very sick and can’t even go visit his family because we have no money. She has put him in serious debt and the IRS is investigating him. When she was the one in control of all his finances and did his taxes. I looked everywhere for help and I mean everywhere. I could find nothing. They would listen then tell me no. One even laughed. Is is horrible that the laws in the state with the highest population of senior citizens. Our most vulnerable citizens and disabled individuals cannot even get anyone to look at their case. The laws in every other state are very stick on the POA but here I could quite literally walk into someone’s hospital room say I’m there niece get POA with them being UNCONSCIOUS!! And take everything from them. This needs to stop the legislation and judicial system need to do something to fix this mess they have made. I know it hasn’t only happened to my family. However we were hit hard. She is a narcissistic psychopath. Who cares for no one but herself. Not even her own child. She destroyed our lives completely and continues to do so. The mental and emotional damage to myself is immense. I am the one who takes care of my father. So I had to take this on myself and find evidence so that someone would be able to help us. Thank God I did find that help after many months of torture. I am not done when I get justice for my father I am taking this all the way to the Supreme Court if I must. This cannot happen to another family. They say there is all kinds of help out there. They lie not even DCF would touch it. Something is seriously wrong with this system. It needs to be fixed. If I am the one who must stand up and do it then I will be the villain for all to do good for the country. Elderly law is a scam and absolutely ridiculous. The justice system is severely lacking. The police lack the care to investigate and just brush this under the rug. DCF just doesn’t care. But if something stupid happens like you happen to be caught with a little weed they are all right there to arrest you or rehabilitate you. So many resources for idiots. But none for a hard working American citizen. Who took care of his family. Paid his taxes. Worked his entire life never took a sick day. Saved all of the money he could owned his own home. Is an upstanding citizen. The best man I have ever known. Would help anyone without question. Because he is not a millionaire. There is absolutely nothing anyone can do. They say money is the root of all evil. I say it is the people with it and in power are. And we must root that evil out and expose it. God stands with me. I know this. Hopefully people will wake up open their eyes and stand too. Not just wine that they can’t get paid for taking care of their parents. That’s life. Deal with it. Be stronger and figure it out. My father didn’t decide to get sick and end up with all these disabilities. It’s just life. Shit happens you deal with it. Stand up for your rights and your parents and grandparents rights! Open your eyes and look around. Because when it gets serious like my situation you find yourself alone and begging God to help you just to get through another hour. Not just the day.

You state that you looked all over for help with this and "finally found some" but is not a lawyer.

I'm glad you finally are starting down a pathway to legal help... Who or what type of help did you find? Are you going to share what you discovered so that others can also get justice?

In Florida, an ex-wife's authority as your Power of Attorney (POA) automatically ends. [1, 2]
Under Florida Statutes Section 709.2109, the moment a petition for dissolution of marriage is filed with the clerk of court, the spouse's authority as an agent under a financial POA is legally terminated. Once the divorce is finalized, her rights are permanently revoked.

I have been granted POA in Florida by five people at various times. I have also granted my POA to others multiple times. Florida has strict rules about valid POA documents. First of all, the document has to be signed by the principal (the person granting it) in the presence of two competent adult witnesses. It must then be notarized by a notary public, who can sometimes serve as one of the witnesses. All of these people must be together at the time of signing, and they sign sequentially. The rules must be followed exactly. If they aren't, the POA is not valid. {Chapter 709, Florida Statutes}

Perhaps you have been misinformed about what happened.

You don't share what exactly your fathers health issues are, but if he is of sound mind, could he have not long ago taken his ex-wife off as his POA and made you his POA instead, thus saving you both all these issues?
And of course you can always go to court to file for guardianship for your father which will override any POA, but that does cost thousands to do so.
Until your father changes his POA or you file for guardianship, his ex-wife has the final say regarding your fathers care which of course must be done in his best interests and not hers, and she must also be keeping meticulous records of where his money is going and why.
It sounds like that's not being done, and I'm having a hard time believing that's there's not an attorney out there that can help you, though if you have no money to pay them it most definitely will be harder to find one, unless they're willing to do it pro-bono.
Perhaps try checking with some of the Law Schools in your area as they often will allow students to assist in pro-bono cases with the help of licensed attorneys or law professors.
I would also call Adult Protective Services in your area as they have to investigate these kinds of allegations and if need be deal with them to the best of their ability.
