I'm tired of cooking/preparing 3 meals a day. It's just the two of us but boy oh boy can that woman eat!! She stays slimish, I get fattish. It's bad enough I do everything here much less start making her one thing and me the other. At times I feel guilty when I buy her fast food cuz of the nutritional value....not to mention I eat it too.
DH has an appointment with our long time ENT for Monday. Poor man isn't allowed to blow his nose until he gets scoped. Drip...drip...

Checked out back and the neighbour behind me had an open 🔥 fire going at 3 in the morning - unattended. I suspect there is a bylaw against that and I should check it out. The smoke blows straight into the windows on that side of my house. I love having fresh cool air in my bedroom!
All you would need is a fire, Golden, just as you are getting the house ready for sale!
ETA Just checked out bylaws and backyard fires must be attended. I guess I should contact the bylaws officer.

stacey - there may be some measurement yr doc is quoting from some research paper that says that, but it is not useful info for the average person.
Exercise of any kind benefits you somewhere. The heart is a muscle. So increasing heart rate means you are exercising your heart. Walking will increase it depending on how fast and long you walk.
cw -totally agree. Any movement is better than no movement.
45 minutes used to be quoted as the time you needed to exercise to get any cardiovascular benefits. i knew it was bs at the time and research since has confirmed that less exercise still gives cv benefits.

I have had this happen when sending or receiving texts on my phone. A delay in seeing the text. It’s supposed to be sent immediately but sometimes there are quirks!
Problematic daughter and I have been able to have civil convos via text around granddaughter care and pick up.
I am finding that restraining myself from over-doing for her (volunteering to pay for stuff mostly) feels good. So much less resentment on my part.

I think it is horrible how some families use children as pawns and don’t allow children to see extended family, grandparents, aunts or uncles because they aren’t seeing eye to eye at the moment.
