Llama - what a lazy, careless and unprofessional that doctor is. I wonder how many patients he misdiagnoses each day he works. You can't be the only one. Shudder...

Llama, I hope the antibiotics get you relief fast. My favorite silly saying about insomnia is "Why can't it start in the morning?" Hah. Hope you're through this soon.

Ali: Haven't even got the antibiotics yet because the doctor wouldn't give them to me! Going to have to drop off the rx to my pharmacy now and p/u later. Thank you.

PB: I may be reporting that physician. Right now my body is just trying to fight this off. Thank you.

Thanks to all who responded. Made 2 trips to pharmacy to drop off and pick up the antibiotic. That physician was less than effective as he could have easily given me the med yesterday.
You're so right, Polar Bear.

9 year grandson tested positive for COVID this AM. He and his parents were here for dinner Friday night.

We tested negative on rapids this AM but will get PCRs later in the week to make sure.

Sorry to hear, Barb. Does GS have symptoms? Hope he's over it fast and no one else comes down with it. Did he pick it up at school, you think? Fingers crossed that your PCRs come back negative, too.

Glad, I'm sick of the wind here, too. But "windy city" and all. I suppose I need to live somewhere else if I can't deal with the harsh and constantly changing weather here. :)

Ahhh, Barb! Covid is not gone. On the news this morning I saw how Singapore is locked down, stay at home order. They went on to say that the U.S. Is normally 4-6 weeks later. I certainly hope that is not the case.

Talked with a man this morning that was vaxed and boosted and got terribly ill. I am a bit confused on the conversation because there is part of me that wants to say that he thought the booster caused he illness. He went septic, spent weeks in the hospital then home on bedrest.

He may have made it all up. He was to.do a job for me that was to be complete last December and I had emailed him a couple of times with no response.

So sorry , Barb. Hope the rest of you don't get it.

glad - covid is alive and well and still spreading around the world. There is no reason for it not to. Vaccinations help the individual, generally speaking, and may slow the spread, but there are lots of hosts yet for the virus to replicate in freely and lots of behaviours that make it easy for it to find new hosts.

Considering it endemic rather than pandemic may ease the minds of some, but if you don't want to get it, you still need to take protective measures.

Right now my city is doing very well, but next week - who knows?

Forecast was flurries - reality a full blown snow storm. Large fluffy flakes have been coming down for hours. ❄❄❄
Snow is over half way up my tires. I foolishly left the car out of the garage.
The back yard was showing mostly green and is white again.
Oh well. It will melt by next weekend.

golden,

The one thing that I've been surprised by and grateful for is wearing a mask has improved my fight against allergies which normally put me on my nebulizer plus at the doctors for either bronchitis or pneumonia.

People seem to be equating endemic with harmless but that isn't what it means, malaria is endemic to many places in the world but it certainly isn't a harmless illness.

The wind just will not stop! I am sick of it!

The health department has issued an advisory because of dust in the air! OMG, you would not believe it!

You're right, CW.

Endemic = Tough. You're stuck with it.

I tested positive for the second time nearly two weeks ago and was far from amused. 3/6 of my clients the week before were Covid + and you cannot stay six feet away from someone who can't put her socks on so we are sitting ducks.

I suppose I should be happy to report that this time I have only been left with technicolor sinusitis and the feeling that I got run over.

yoda - wearing masks more often than before will help allergies and reduce other respiratory illnesses than covid - like flu. It may be a benefit from the pandemic.

cw - I agree. It is by no means harmless.

glad - it's the snow here. Enough already!

Oh cm. I am sorry you got it again. ((((hugs))))

Electricity has now gone out. The screen on the patio slider blew off. I was able to retrieve it before it was gone. Neighbors patio ceiling fan blades have broken off. Patio ceiling fans, I wanted them too, then thought better of it. The neighborhood pond looks like you could surf on it!

I am over the weather here too! If its sunny it's too windy to do anything outside, and if its calm it's rainy or gloomy!

Just some hurricane force wind gusts. Have not heard it called a special name, but it sure deserves one! It is special!

The pandemic is NOT over.
Stay safe.

The Home tests cannot differentiate the coronaviruses,
from a cold (coronavirus);
to Covid-19 (coronavirus);
from all the new strains of Covid/Sars.

Anyone who is sick with anything should stay home, imo.
Got only a sinus infection? Stay home so you won't add Covid to your troubles.
Got 'the flu? Stay home.

Stay home to build your immunity.

Glad, It sounds bad.
Hurricane force winds sound really bad.

Stay safe.

A minor stick or tree limb blowing by could be disastrous.
Hoping Ming is not afraid, and stays inside.

Hugs to you both.

The winds have, finally, settled a bit. Electricity was back after a couple of hours. Doesn't seem to bother Ming if something bumps, she just runs under the bed. She never goes outside, absolutely no desire at all. First cat I have ever had that couldn't care less.

Golden: Snow? Wow.

Barb: Sorry about GS and hope the rest of you don't get it.
