Well according to my COVID test,, I am no longer a COVID virgin ! How to explain I made it through 3 years of front line ICU care without a cootie and now my allery symptoms test positive! Everyone in my Unit is suffering from sneezes, etc,, allergies are terrible right now. A few rns had COVID.. I never had a fever just allery symptoms. My co worker I carpool with called me yesterday ,, same symptoms but she had a fever too, tested positive. SO I tested,, yep indeed! I had 2 or 3 days of extreme tiredness,, felt back to normal yesterday! But pink lines for me! So my Dr said sounds like I'm doing well, and I am off until the weekend at work. The hospital just says quarentine for 5 days and your good to come back if your symptoms are gone! Mine were gone yesterday and today is day 5.. at least I am off to enjoy this wonderful weather! Helped hubs in the yard today, it is beautiful out!

glad - we really are at their mercy. I tried one real estate agent recommended by 2 people but she didn't suit me at all. I have found three others with very high ratings for sales here. We will see. There is a company which guarantees you a certain price, but you don't get it until they have sold, as I understand it, I may see what they can offer me.

More than a whine, I am really ticked at a real estate broker I spoke with on Friday. I have taken my house off the market for awhile to evaluate the situation. First he stated that the problem with it not selling was the marketing of it, so, the agent I was using. Of course this new agent can sell it if I reduce the price by 50-75K! I could have sold it several times if I was willing to accept a low ball offer!

And to help with that the agent I was using lowered his commission to 1%. This new guy would be at 3%. He was recommended by a friend that has a completely different situation to mine. She had already sold her condo in Arizona and had cash to buy one in the Denver area. They found her a good deal on a condo in Denver, but she had said she did not want to live in Denver.

Those guys are just good salesmen I think. Don't think I will go there, but figure out what to do, otherwise.

Geaton,

I agree, the shells are beautiful. Yeah, Florida has its share of shark attacks. I love the dolphins.

cat - I understand. R has horses - they are his friends. I think he talks more to them of serious mattes than he does to me lol

geaton - beach and beachcombing - lovely, sharks and stitches not so much.

2 whines -The forecast says it is hazy today. No it is NOT hazy, it is snowing!!! Great big flakes!!! Enough already. 🌨❄🌨

A supplement arrived from our prime friend and the little plastic seal around the cap was broken. I took the cap off and the seal over the bottle top was broken and discoloured. I sent photos and asked for a replacement from the same company. Not sure that was wise because of what they sent me but I'll try them again - once.

Have a good Sunday, everyone.

NHWM, I love the beach, too! I went to FL once a year every single year of my life. I'm now 64 and still go at least once a year. I attended the U of Miami for 2 years (met my hubs there freshman year, first semester). My grandparents retired to the SE coast from the Bronx back in the 50s and that's who we went to visit. My favorite thing to do is beachcomb for seashells and interesting objects. My guest bathroom is decorated with 5 huge apothecary jars filled with shells and treasures that we've found . Many of the things I found back then are no longer found, which makes me sad, but nothing stays the same forever. I get a lot of joy from having our sons, and now our grandkids, run and swim at this same beach. My eldest goes down every spring to sport fish for sharks (catch and release). This year while he was there a surfer got bit on the foot: 50+ stitches. I love the beach but can do without the sharks.

It's strange when I had my horses, couldn't stand being inside the house. I loved hanging out in the barn with my 'ponies'. After work & on weekends cleaning stalls, sweating and getting filthy. Lol
I've had secondary adrenal insufficiency for 5 years and I'm less tolerant to heat/cold

Cat,

The best place for nice temperatures and a nice breeze is Hawaii. They do have storms at times but not too bad most of the time. Just stay off the big island with the big active volcano. It is expensive to live there though. I tagged along twice when my husband had to go there for work for a week in Honolulu. So we were on Oahu , Waikiki Beach . It was nice but very touristy. We would love to go to Maui one day. .

Cat,

If you find utopia please let us know where it is! 😊

It seems like everywhere has it’s pros and cons.

I wouldn’t mind being a gypsy and living in several places throughout the year. This wouldn’t gel with my husband though.
I would be the explorer. Hubby would be Mr. Chill!

FF,

I think there are a lot of couples that need separate bedrooms and bathrooms to live in harmony!

Regarding snoring. Sig-other and I have separate bedrooms and it works out great. I am the one that sounds like a freight train [inherited that from my parents] but he doesn't snore. But he has restless legs, thus will throw a sharp kick every now and then.

We also have TV's in our bedrooms. I can't sleep without one, otherwise I can't shut off my brain. He watches sports, and I like comedy or informative shows such as Engineering Marvels, Inside the Factory, How Is It Made.... those shows I learn something and eventually during the 2nd half of the show, I am sound asleep :)

I'd love to find the 'perfect' place to live. 50's at night, about 70 during the day, not humid. No
hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires or blizzards. Does such a place exist? :)
Born&raised in SW Florida with the exception of 5 years in California. Kinda tired of living here

Who hates snoring? I hear about people that sleep in separate bedrooms due to snoring.

I have awful allergies and asthma too. My husband doesn’t have allergies or asthma but I swear, he starts snoring as soon as his head hits the pillow! I am immune to it after 40 plus years!

My mom was a very loud snorer! Daddy too.

Isn’t it fabulous how surgeries have improved? It’s all done laparoscopically now.

I remember when my younger brother had an emergency appendectomy when he was in college and they cut him open.

Same thing for my dad, they cut him open to remove his gallbladder. Now an appendectomy and gallbladder removal is less invasive.

My husband only has three very small cuts. His nurse was marvelous. She told him that he will only be sore for 3 to 4 days.

When the nurse was asking him questions, she turned to me and asked if he snored. I said, “Yep! But I snore too, so it’s okay!”

She laughed and said that we canceled each other out and had white noise to fall asleep with. LOL 😆 It’s funny, when he goes out of town I kind of miss his snoring. Does that make me weird? Hahaha

I was getting coffee when the doc finished up and wanted to speak with me. I’m a caffeine junkie and landed in PJ’s coffee shop in the hospital! So, he spoke with me on my cell. Nice guy, even told me to enjoy my coffee!

If our grandparents came back and saw all of the improvements they would be shocked!

I can’t even imagine going to the dentist in the old days! Ouch!!!

We didn’t leave the hospital until 4:00 this afternoon after my husband’s surgery.

Everything went well. It’s tiring to spend the day at the hospital.

Thanks, everyone. I appreciate your support.
