I'm tired of cooking/preparing 3 meals a day. It's just the two of us but boy oh boy can that woman eat!! She stays slimish, I get fattish. It's bad enough I do everything here much less start making her one thing and me the other. At times I feel guilty when I buy her fast food cuz of the nutritional value....not to mention I eat it too.
My whine moment: My mother had nine (!) siblings - several are very ill - she's calling me a lot to dump on me about it. It's not that I don't care but it almost seems like they're calling each other to stir up drama.
Would I be a bad person if I just stopped answering the phone for a couple of days? I hate to do that since there are legitimate emergencies but I swear this morning I caught myself thinking that I might not even care when the aunt for whom I am named passes on because my mother has made such a big deal of her illness. It has taken over absolutely everything. I know that's horrible. Sigh.

the Viking is suffering too - said it hurt to drink milk today - she asked me to take her to the doctor - tried to get her to rinse with warm salt water - didn't work well - I was afraid she'd swallow it
She now wants to change primary care doctors,my mom said its because the dr is rude but I know its because she refused to refill her pain meds.
My mom also doesnt do well with other females.
I just want to bang my head against the wall. Its become crazy town over there.

Some say gradually cut back on caffeine consumption. Replace with herbal tea and lots of water.
Exercise is a great energy booster! I ride my exercise bike for thirty minutes a day. Walking is also good. Work in some strength training for toning and maintaining muscle mass. Yoga is wonderful too.
Coffee/caffeine does have some benefits. Like anything else, overuse has it’s drawbacks.
There has got to be something to undo all that caffeine.
