I'm tired of cooking/preparing 3 meals a day. It's just the two of us but boy oh boy can that woman eat!! She stays slimish, I get fattish. It's bad enough I do everything here much less start making her one thing and me the other. At times I feel guilty when I buy her fast food cuz of the nutritional value....not to mention I eat it too.
One thing interesting, if I am driving sig other 20+ year old Jeep that looks like it has been through the wringer, V8 engine that the exhaust makes a cool grumbling sound, and that has hooks under the back bumper for pulling stuff, other drivers tend to keep their distance :)
How cool to get places with a horse.
No,it just stung me and I left, even sadder than when I entered the store.
Right now, it's almost 12:40 am and she's still sitting right here in the living room, just staring at my husband and I. Not watching tv or anything, just doesn't want to miss anything. I swear, our only alone time is when we go to sleep. She usually won't go to bed until I do. We have to sneak outside to have a private conversation, and even then she tries to eavesdrop. That's one thing I'm looking forward to eventually when mom moves out, being able to have a free moment with my hubby again in our house.
Sorry Lu, :(
lu (((((hugs)))) it does matter!
It hurt.
After nearly an hour, I gave up and decided at least I could get Persian food for dinner
Drove 6 blocks from the office only to find the place closed
Whatta fun Saturday night
Cool site (twistedsifter). I went all the way back to June 2017! It's great 'cause there isn't a lot of reading, so you can stop and do something else. Great for distraction from day to day concerns.
Thanks for the referral.

For me, my best bet is driving at 3 a.m. when I have the road all to myself but nothing is opened at that time :P
Uber!
Less than a cab and you can leave the traffic to them. Get the app on your phone and they know right where to pick you up.
Sounds like he should hang up his keys. If the girls won't ride with him, you may want to follow their lead.
Since we moved a month ago I have not even dared to drive in the heavy traffic guess I must try soon.
DH has been so overwhelmed by everything it is quite scary
Hopefully it will give me another day or two of printing !!
And my beloved neighborhood Staple Store closed it doors a few months ago... my gosh it was like visiting DisneyWorld for me in that store !!
"What are you doing up so early, Mom?"
"I'm READING." (With the curtains closed, the lights out, and no glasses.)
"Well, if you're up, then I have to get up too."
I sat on a dining chair. Mom continued flipping pages. (Note that she never rises before dinnertime on non-dialysis days.)
"It's six in the morning, Mom."
"FINE I'll go back to bed."
"I'll get the wheelchair."
"No, I don't WANT the wheelchair!"
"Mom, I can't keep picking you up when you fall, you're gonna kill my back."
"FINE."
Then I wheeled her to her room. On the way, she said, "Can't you turn the heat up?"
(Note that we're experiencing 30C/85F summer highs lately, and it's already up to 23C/74F inside.) "Mom, it's boiling in here."
"Well I'm freezing!"
"Well if you hadn't refused to wear your pajama pants last night you probably wouldn't be."
I put a second comforter on the bed.
Mom: "I HOPE nobody's coming in today."
"Mom, home support is here to help ME."
Mom: *whines like the love child of Eliza Doolittle and a pre-nap toddler* "Awwwohhhhwwwww!" (Not a wholly accurate phonetic representation but you get the idea.)
Me: "MOM I'M NOT WIPING YOUR DIRTY BUM EVERY TIME YOU REALLY EXPECT A LOT FROM ME WHY DO YOU THINK I GOT SO SICK."
That's how it happens. The part where I lose my patience and snap at her. Sigh.
I'm going to try to go back to sleep now.
