Replacing the much lamented 'On My Mind' profile option, this thread is for musings, jottings, whimsies, preoccupations and the rest of the thesaurus for anyone to jot down anything they please.
I can't remember what the maximum character count was before, can anyone else? But anyway it wasn't very many so let's keep to that.
Nacy,
Not strange at all. There is this concept of U curve measuring happiness which is high for children then decreases especially in 40s and then goes up in 50-60s.
Maybe we just learn to respect ourselves more, have less problems, or handle them better. Maybe we just simply decided to be happy no matter what.

Great Big Warm Hug!!
Wishing only the best for you and DH. Thank you for letting us know.
“The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you."
so sorry to hear that. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I get it . I won’t drive through Brooklyn or Queens anymore . They drive crazy there in general .
Don’t get me wrong I don’t mind getting the form filled out . But ……. I think if a family member raises a concern about an 87 year old , DMV should test them .
Meanwhile DMV ( in another state ) did nothing when I voiced concerns about my MIL’s ability to drive safely .
And so are you. Often people with learning disabilities suffer from low self esteem. You have survived that and a dysfunctional family and are still learning . Well done you!!!
Pam Z - isn't it great being a grandma!!!
Good for you still learning!!!
Impressed with your open telling of your struggles! I think we often have no idea what others are going through.
