I don’t make sauce so we go with Prego. Most any of theirs is good. We do stay away from their sauces with garlic. Our “after breath” keeps us from using those although they do taste good.

Spaghetti, one of my wife’s favorite meals. And it has to be spaghetti, not some other type of pasta. She will eat whatever pasta I make but………!

I am not cooking tonight so it will be melon and Parma ham. That is a typical summer dish here in Italy.

I love cheese Naan! My first time in a Indian restaurant was in Paris. A friend lives there. We are the same age, actually I am a week older. A couple of months after our 40th birthday, I went there and we had a nice girl evening out: make-up class, Indian restaurant and theater! We should organize something thus year too... We turn 50 in October!

Take out Indian: saag paneer, chicken tikka masala, naan, kale salad and kale pakuras. Too hot to cook or go out in NYC.

I got a text from a GF last night that she had some extra zucchini so I went to pick up a couple and spent a pleasant afternoon visiting. Tomorrow I'll have to pull out my zucchini bread recipes, and since they are the size of canoes I'll probably freeze some to add to spaghetti sauce next winter.

Lots of tomatoes here, so I made "italian salsa".. don;t laugh until you try it! Dice tomatoes, onion, celery, peppers and black olives. Lots of chopped parsley, and top with a good italian dressing.. stir and let sit a bit. Good on scoops, toasty bread or salads. Very refreshing and light

I know Isthisrealyreal, I want to learn how to make the crepes. It was so pretty looking and had a flower like strawberry on the side. It is what you would see at an upscale restaurant.I took a photo.

That recipe is much like mine which uses buttermilk.

The key to crispy and light waffles is the beating of the whites, then folding in remaining ingredients. If you stir or beat them in, no crisp light waffles.

Oops! It’s not in the recipe, but I always add a tsp of vanilla, too.

Already, everybody! Heat up that waffle iron and enjoy!

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
3 eggs, separated
2 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil

In a large bowl mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until mixed.
Beat egg yolks until frothy; add milk and oil. Pour into flour mixture; beat with rotary beater until smooth.
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; fold into batter. Pour enough batter for each waffle (for my iron, it’s a ladleful and a bit), and bake until golden (2 min and 45 seconds for my waffle iron from the 70’s). Yields 5 large waffles.

The key to getting waffles light and fluffy is the separating of the eggs.

Enjoy, my honeys!!!

Lizbitty- I would love a good waffle recipe. My kids love waffles. Most of the times we make them, usually they come out not airy and crispy, so we end up making pancakes out of the batter.

I love breakfast for dinner: bacon/ham/sausages, hash browns or home fries, french toast or french toast casserole with fruit is the best meal ever! (And those foods are too heavy for me to eat in the morning anyway)

Tonight is breakfast night, so I’m making homemade waffles with strawberries. Let me know if you want the recipe - I promise they’ll be the best waffles you’ve ever had.

Not sure how it will go down with my MIL - she’ll probably say we’re crazy, or be confused and think it’s breakfast! Oh well. It’s all good.

Thanks.
It's no longer safe to assume I know much of anything, lol.
Ok, in the mornings, I will.
Thank you for the advice!

Send, are you taking the ACV straight or diluting it? You probably know better. But I ask because straight can burn your esophagus and create a need for pepcid.

I found this out when I thought I would just bypass mixing it with raw honey and water. Brutal education. Now I enjoy my morning apple drink :-)
