🤮 Just because something CAN be done doesn't mean it SHOULD be done; this sounds like the result of a dare by someone under the age of 20.
Given the number of delicious tried and true ways to overindulge why would anyone waste the space on something like this?

Okay, that just sounds really awful. I love flaming Cheetos with string cheese. So, maybe, just maybe it works.

If anyone has enough courage to give it a try, I would love to hear how it is though.

Going to give up mac n' cheese, and pizza for awhile, thinking I am having some gall bladder symptoms.

Some people eat to live; others live to eat. Safe at home, I have become a foodie! A person can take only so much Lactaid and Pepcid Complete, so I need to rethink this.

Pizza last night was store-bought, someone might have spilled some garlic salt on it before it got to us. My dH likes vegetarian pizza better anyway.

Send, well the cake does have sugar in it and eating 3-4 pieces is definately not on my diet. I have been eating a lot of fresh fruit which helps with the sweet cravings.

Earlybird,
Aren't the home made things with blueberries and lemon better for you?
I don't even think they count as 'not on a diet'.

Luckylu,
Will you be buying your cherry slush, or do you know how to make it at home?

CWillie,
Oh, I just gave up my addiction to the best sour dough bread, and did not order any just this week. Eating that interfered with everything I wanted to eat. Now, I can't decide what to eat. When do we know if it is an addiction, and not just normal loving to eat that? As for coffee, I only have one cup in the morning, and very rarely in the late afternoon and only if I want to suffer a rapid heart beat that I can hear when I lay on my pillow. I read that coffee can prevent dementia? I know several people who no longer drink coffee. What do you think?

I picked some blueberries and made a lemon blueberry cake. No frosting needed.
Only two pieces left. All four of us ate at least 2-3 pieces .My mom had two pieces and I do not think she will be hungry for dinner. Blew my diet but did very well all week. I will reward myself once a week for sure.

Despite my resolve to cut back on bread I've now got a jar of natural sourdough bubbling away on my counter, it looks like a really strong batch and should be ready for baking in a day or two!
(I'm not really late to the party because I made my first sourdough 40 years ago during my "crunchy" phase)

Hi Luckylu,

My dad loved his Big Macs and fish burgers from McDonalds. Sweet tea sounds perfect.

Hi Send,

Sparkling lemon water sounds right up my alley as well.

I stopped at the grocery store deli and picked up German potato salad and a slice of veggie lasagna. It was a bit too cheesy for me.:-)

With the hot weather having a slushy from 7 Eleven tonight.

Dinner tonight will be leftover steak sliced thin and mixed in with peppers, onions and bbq sauce served with oven fries. More cucumber salad as the side.

For after dinner drinks I will have a shandy to use up that half can of mostly flat beer in the back of my fridge, I probably need some alcohol to balance out the caffeine!

Expresso IS COFFEE? Tripped on the curb your coffee addiction, so funny!

Dirty chai is a popular espresso drink served in coffee shops. It consists of a shot of espresso mixed into a spiced "chai tea" (or masala chai). It's usually made with a chai concentrate or tea, steamed milk, and a single shot of espresso, and the result is a cross between a regular latte and a chai tea latte.

You can leave the house today, CWillie, it's a nice Saturday out.
By the time you come back, I will have tracked down my tech hubs and begged him to get me a new avatar.
I don't want to be a bad influence, or cause anyone a temptation too great.
Remind me again, what is the worst that can happen if we ate a few good cookies and has some dirty chai?

What is a dirty chai?

Remember how I've been experimenting with chai to try and curb my coffee addiction? Today I discovered dirty chai 🤣

And all those cookie pictures make we want to head out the door and go cookie shopping.

There is no way I am going to gain weight just by looking at a photo of a stack of chocolate chip cookies. Then, by seeing so many, I am getting so that I don't want any!

It is still summer (anyone hinting at the fall harvest season yet?), and I am still trying to find the best-for-you and most satisfying summer drink. Just ordered some lemonade, when I shoulda coulda woulda been better off just ordering real lemons. 🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋🍋

I found this today:
Soft drinks aren't your only enemy. Bottled teas, fancy coffee drinks and “fresh” lemonades can all be loaded with the sweet stuff. “For example, the 16-ounce chai latte at Starbucks, one of its most popular drinks, has 42 grams of sugar,” Rosenbloom says.

Back to drinking water, more water.

cwillie and all--There was a story about a little town in Vermont in which a summer visitor was told to put up his car windows and make sure the doors are locked. He asked why, wondering if crime was a problem there, and while he was assured there was no crime, he was advised that if he left his car unlocked, it would be full of zucchini when he returned!

It's that time of year when there are too many fresh, local fruits and veggies to possibly eat. Tonight I have some corn on the cob I just bought from the farmer's market as well as a cucumber salad from my own cukes and dill. I also have some leftover veggies I need to use up and I think I'll toss them with some pasta and cheese.
(too. much. food.)
