Yum! I would add some chocolate chips.

I have started buying my Rice Krispies Treats pre-packaged for snacks on hand.

Hello Send, read your post yesterday and the fruit you posted sounded so good and healthy. I went to the store and got strawberries, bananas, watermelon, tangerines , and juicy cherries. I will make a fruit salad for dinner. I did not buy any sweets, yay! Thanks again, Send.

In house we have fresh strawberries, blueberries, bananas, pears, apples, plums and oranges.

I have already put bananas on my cereals.

Cannot wait to make a smoothie tomorrow.

Grilled teriyaki chicken breast with a vegetable stir fry, including only fresh ingredients, red bell peppers, onions, broccoli, mushrooms over wide egg noodles.

Piece of dark chocolate, a bigger piece than Golden has.

We are enjoying the new to us taste of ginger beer, non alcoholic.

Used my 7 qt pressure cooker. Big sirloin tip roast, 4 lbs red potatoes and 2 lbs carrots. Used my Brava oven for 2 roasting chickens, baked turnips, cooked a pot of navy beans and cornbread. 3 pies and homemade whipped cream. Young men’s Sunday school class my husband teaches are coming for dinner.

I made chicken soup in the instapot and tomorrow I’m making corned beef in the instapot. I cook it for 90 minutes and it is so tender it melts in your mouth.

I was thinking of Shell when I made burritos from the leftover roast.

We had the roast dinner, then I made strogaff, next came roast beef hash and finished it with burritos. All of these provided dinner and a lunch for us, with minimal effort each night. My fave!

Golden, I can't have junk food around or I will eat it. When hubs goes away to work I never buy stuff that will tempt me. He comes back and suddenly the counters are covered with chips, chocolate, cookies etc. Then he says "oh, I don't have a sweet tooth" Then he is buying it to sabotage my diet. Can't see what else it would be. 🤨

gershun - It's not self control. as I don't desire more. I usually have one small square with coffee after each meal. It's enough for me. It is plain dark 70% chocolate, rich but not very sweet. Sometimes I have less, rarely more. My grandmother took one square of chocolate with her coffee after a meal and that's where I learned it. You put the chocolate in your mouth and then take a sip of hot/warm coffee and it melts the chocolate and gives you lots of favour.

Despite the ice cream binge the other night, I am not one who needs many sweets. I don't care for candy or other really sweet things. With the ice cream it is more the creamy, cold texture that appeals to me than the sweetness.

Golden, Your dinner sounds very good. I love roasted cauliflower.

Gershun, I’m like you with chocolate. Eat until is gone.

We had dinner at our son’s house. Pork roast, brown beans, fried potatoes, salad. Mostly, I played with the baby. He’s changing everyday. This is our week to keep him. We alternate weeks with DIL’s parents. She only goes in to the office in the afternoon.

I tried something new in my instant pot. We made baked potatoes for lunch.

The instant pot does a great job with potatoes! It takes a few minutes to get up to pressure.

After that it only took 23 minutes for four large potatoes.

We split one potato. Hubby grilled chicken and I made a salad.

I have potatoes left over to make potato soup during the week.

OMG - salmon, asparagus, roasted veg, chocolate . . . drooling! These are a few of my favorite things.

I had organic veg/pasta soup. Meh. Don't think I'll be having this again. Peanut butter cups for dessert.

I'm gonna try HelloFresh or something similar this month. Need to do some research on the different delivery services. I want to focus on meal planning, my eating habits have been so erratic.

Better eating tonight - salmon, asparagus, roasted eggplant and roasted cauliflower. Love the little crispy bits of cauliflower right out of the oven, The usual one square of dark chocolate and coffee after for a touch of decadence.

We have a HelloFresh subscription and it's a little bit expensive but I LOVE it. No shopping, no having to buy 12 of something to get only 1 for a recipe, and best of all only one or two pans for cleanup. Tonight it was fried falafel and cucumber salad, delicious as always. I'd recommend it.
