Sorry to say, but this site has been so depressing for a few days. I thought I'd ask an average, everyday question....to make us all feel a little more normal today.
I made Eggplant Lasagna, and my BIL and SIL are coming for dinner. They leave for Cali tomorrow to see their beautiful grand daughter.
Sorry, sometimes we just need some REGULAR conversation.......or at least THIS caregiver does.
I am going to look at the granola recipe.
I love beef stew! So does my hubby. I make it too.
Here is the recipe that I found on line that is super easy and really good for Granola. I must warn you, it makes a big batch and you may find that you can't stop eating it!

You mentioned the Amish products before. I am curious. Do you have a favorite of any their products?
Do you cook any of their dishes?
It looks good. I want to try it soon.
The only thing I will modify is the noodles.
The recipe calls for no bake noodles which I am not fond of.
When my mom got Alzheimer's, I was her "lady-in-waiting," I had made (or should I say "maid") salmon for everyone, and she said she didn't want that, (although it was one of her favorite meals). She wanted chicken, but I didn't have any at hand, so I decided to "wing it." I gave her some other options, (like soup and a sandwich) but she didn't want that either, so I hid her salmon under some mashed potatoes, and she said it was delicious. "No harm no foul," (fowl) or, no luck no cluck. I even wrote a book about my husband and I taking care of her, laced with humor called: "My Mother Has Alzheimer's and My Dog Has Tapeworms: A Caregiver's Tale."

I still love PB & J sandwiches! Eat them all the time!
Thank you Early! I'll have to try it.
Hubby is tired too, so we are indulging in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner! 😂 LOL
I cook a lot. I deserve time off sometimes, right?
Yes Cwilly, you can have 2 muffins. I only say that because when I make banana bread, I eat a whole loft by myself! LOL
NHWH & Early,
Making granola is pretty easy and cheaper. Plus, you can control how much sugar you put into it. I have been making a batch every week!
Grilled plums are good too! I grill them every year when my SO & I are camping, but he doesn't like fruit of any kind except for bananas. So, I eat them by myself.
Early, I love blueberries. They are my favorite fruit, however, I can't drink anything with blueberry juice because it makes me so sick that I wish I was dead. Doesn't make sense does it?!
Glad, How does Google change Making into Masking or Good to Gold, answer, bad programming! That's what I think!!
Bridger, pulled pork sounds so good. I'll have to make some. Yummy!!!
I should learn to make cornbread! I have never made it!🤔
If they are muffins I can have two, right?
