"Llamalover47," - I hope so, my husband has been wanting to get into it and last night I almost opened it myself and told him I could always get another bag (he thinks I have an extra one hidden - but, I don't).

Was gone for awhile but, hope you are slowly getting all your appointments behind you and that they all went well!

Roasted a chicken, and had a good salad while waiting. Added fresh cilantro and curly parsley, shredded carrots to romaine and spinach. The curly parsley helps to lower b/p.

Bridger, I want some cornbread!

My oldest son’s birthday. All his favorites fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cornbread, cherry pie and ice cream. Also had pecan tassies for my DIL. My brother and niece arrived for their Christmas holiday. Niece has to work at hospital on the 24-25. So we’re celebrating with her early. My dad’s like a little kid with her.

Beatty,

I like your aunt! 😊

Yep, it’s good to take breaks!

Need, yes cooking every night is overrated! I remember by Aunt saying Oh it's so hot tonight, I think we'll have sliced ham & salad & toast later if hungry.

In my 20's a friend & I would buy a chunk of cooked turkey from the supermarket deli, a lettuce & a bag of pstachios. That was our go-to 'dinner' 😄

I didn’t cook tonight. We had a salad and split a turkey sandwich.

Had Nachos for dinner.

Would love to have some banana bread, Pam! LOL!

I use to make mini loaves of banana bread and give them away in color gladwrap. Then I would woof down 2 mini loaves while watching a movie. Ugh!

Pam,

Yummy! Why four loaves? You must be planning to give some away.

Mystery, Llama's salmon and peas was excellent. We all loved it and had enough for another day but really wanted to eat it all the same day. I just love leftovers and will be making it again real soon.

I tried Llama's salmon and peas last night and they loved it!! It was a huge hit and so easy to make. Tons of leftovers - which is always a plus. I baked a batch of frozen Pillsbury biscuits and they worked beautifully for this. DH asked me to get some tortillas so he can roll up the leftovers. I also made a batch of creamed tomatoes - I can't remember who posted that, but I highly recommend that one as well - also over biscuits.

If anyone wants to have the ultimate, ‘to die for’ experience eating chocolates, please try Teuscher.

I had these on a weekend trip to Houston, TX. The shop was in the Galleria shopping mall.

The truffles are the best I have ever had. Of course, they were very expensive but worth every penny!

Nothing else compares after eating these.

I have eaten See’s candy in San Francisco, also Ghirardelli. They are so yummy!

My favorite is dark chocolate. One can never go wrong with chocolate!

I am always amazed that the little girl next door did not like chocolate!

I always made chocolate cup cakes for my children because they love them but when she came over I made vanilla for her.

She was never a chocolate lover. I can’t even imagine that! LOL

I think Walgreens has a fun candy section in their stores! They have a nice variety of candy to buy.

"MAYDAY,"

I have loved "See's" candy since I was a kid! It's great (I think) that we have one 5 minutes away. Just walking in and "smelling" the chocolate makes me feel good. I always like the cherry cordials so not sure what the "cherry bourdeau's" were. Like you, between my husband and I - it's gone in 24 hours.

When I resort to Russell Stover's, I wait until Walgreen's has their buy one, get one free. I hid the second one and ate it all by myself! Several years ago, they would run a coupon for $3.99 a box - that was quite a deal. I have a friend who doesn't like chocolate - I can't imagine living life without it.

"Llamalover47," - The other day I bought a Christmas Bag of Ghiradelli Chocolate Caramel Assortment which has White Chocolate Caramels, Milk Chocolate and Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels. It's what I'm giving to my mom as a little gift at her MC....if it makes it there, my husband keeps eying it up since it's on the table with a bow on it. My mom has always loved caramels but, I don't want to buy the super chewy ones because of her teeth so these are the gooey type.

If I buy candy, I will go through it in a day or two... :(
I try not to keep it near me... It Will Disapear !!!

Need: Really the only time I go there is to get an ice cream cake for DD's birthday. Flavors there are always changing and they can make any idea that you give them, e.g. green tea with pistachio and mud puddles. That is just an idea I came up with for you just now, but probably could be concocted.

Llama,

Do you have a favorite flavor there?

Need: Nope, never tried the ice cream with cayenne. I do like pralines and cream, mint chocolate chip. But you can't beat The Daily Scoop, Pasadena, MD.

Llama,

My favorite flavor at Baskin and Robbins is pralines and cream.

I do like mint chocolate chip in the summer.

B & R is not my favorite ice cream spot though.

We have a few local spots that have homemade gelato, Italian ice cream is delicious!

We have another local ice cream shop that sells flavors like chocolate with cayenne. Ever try that? I did. My husband wouldn’t try it. Hahaha
