Cheesy Tomato Grits. I use the fire roasted tomatoes because I love a bit of spice. I love grits on a cold rainy eve.

Golden,
I use to eat red twizzlers, but for whatever reason I can't eat them anymore. I do buy them for my sig-other and he loves them. He never did like sharing them and now he doesn't have too! Ha ha

I like my chocolate and my gummies but not together! 😜

Golden, I cannot eat red twizzlers. I must be allergic to the dye or something. I get terribly ill whenever I eat them. For weeks!

Chocolate, though, OMG!

Got a gift basket at work that had a milk dud type candy in it. Made with coconut milk, then rolled in a sweetened cocoa. Sea salt caramel inside. Those are very yummy! Called cocomels.

I'm not a hard candy person - give me chocolate any day - but does anyone remember maple cones? They are really too sweet for me, but I love anything maple. Then I would eat licorice all sorts too. They were good and red licorice twizzlers.

Shell, love the story. I think I will try it with moms doctors if I can get up the courage. Her doctors are very conservative. I think it would be a good laugh for all.

When I was a young adult okay, not much of an adult. We had a street that us kids would drive up and down and we would talk to the cute guys and see if anyone was having a party and who was out that night. Well, one night, my girlfriend wanted some chocolate, so we went to the store and bought the biggest bag of Hershey's kisses. As we drove up & down the street we would eat them. However, we were stopped at a light and a car pulled up next to us and it was full of cute guys. My friend lend out the window and asked the driver if he would mine if she gave him a kiss. He looked at her and said, "sure, you can give me a kiss." So my friend threw a Hershey's kiss at him and said, " here is your kiss!" We both laughted so hard. Just the look on that guy's face was priceless. All night she kept asking guys if they wanted a kiss and they always said, "yes" and she would throw them a Hershey's kiss. By the end of the night, we were out of kisses and she became known as "the kiss girl!" What fun we had!

Llama, I just made your salmon and peas recipe. We loved it. It was creamy and buttery tasting. I had fresh frozen salmon so I poached it and added it to the other ingredients. I like canned salmon so I will use it next time. I served.it over warm from the oven buttermilk biscuits. Delicious and a keeper!. Thank you.

NeedHelp, I got an Easter basket and chocolate bunny up to the age of forty and loved it. I just love my chocolate. My mom made chocolate fudge every Christmas and Easter and put the fudge in a fancy candy dish. Christmas and Easter my favorite holidays. Hersey's kisses and my moms homemade pies were my favorite. I like the fruit jelly beans and spice drops, but black licorice is my favorite jelly bean.

I'm nostalgic about the Christmas candy we used to have when I was growing up. In bulk from the local grocery store -
chocolate hats - these had different colours/flavours of fondant inside
chocolate snowballs (my favourite) - these were rolled in coconut and had a white filling
there was a mix of different caramel flavoured candies
My mom liked the hard candies, remember the ribbons?
My grandmother sometimes made "sugar plums", a kind of fudge.
And all the cookies and squares - too many to mention!

My late mother loved Hershey's kisses. She always kept them in a silver candy dish.
I am not much of a chocolate lover, but lately I have been getting into DH's stash of Ghirardelli.

I think I like Halloween candy because it is like being a kid again. You have a great reason to stuff your face with candy. Anything chocolate! Mini Almond Joy's are my favorite for Halloween!

I used to love peppermint bark, but can't eat it anymore. I never ate candy on Christmas. I always ate fruit and nuts. The only candy my mother would buy was hard candy that she kept in a jar and they would stick together and they were nasty. The candy was mix favors such as: peppermint, lemon, lime, cherry, orange, and watermelon, but they all taste the same. No one ever ate it! Yuk!! As an adult, I love chocolate cover cherries and orange jellies covered in dark chocolate. Oh how I wish I had some now.

I have always loved Easter candy. I like peeps, in fact, I have found a store that sold half cover chocolate peppermint peeps at Christmas, but can't find them now. I like the fruit favor jelly beans. I like eating the ears off my chocolate bunnies and still do. I guess, I never grew up! LOL Reese mintures! I hate licorice favor! My mother would buy the spice jellies beans that my brother and I would never eat, but she sure liked them with the black licorice!

I like peanut brittle. I plan on making some this weekend!

Shell and EB,

Do you like Christmas, Easter or Halloween candy best?

I love dark chocolate peppermint bark for Christmas. I made that with my daughters for Christmas.

I like a classic chocolate bunny and eggs for Easter! I do like licorice jelly beans! Hate those yucky cream eggs and peeps.

I love the mini chocolate Hershey candy for Halloween.

I am not good at making fudge! LOL, I can’t get the soft boil thing down. It turns out like syrup and my family served it on top of ice cream.

I have made our praline candy before.

My grandpa used to make delicious pralines, divinity and peanut brittle.

I don't think we have anything that would count as a health food restaurant NHWM, the closest would maybe be the Thai restaurant or Pita Pit. Soup would fit all my requirements except being fast and easy, unless of course I opened a can!
