NHWM- I use to think breakfast for dinner was special too, especially pancakes. DH would love to have breakfast all day. His favorite meal.

They had smoked ribs, potato salad, sourdough garlic/herb bread, ranch style beans, and caramel pecan cheesecake.

I had my usual.

We did breakfast for dinner this evening. I like that once in awhile. It’s funny I used to think it was so special as a kid to have breakfast for dinner as a kid. I had no idea it was a way for my dad to stretch a dollar.

I think it’s all about presentation. When I asked, “What’s for dinner?” I would hear, “Pancakes!” Hey, it worked for me.

We had eggs and toast. Easy dinner tonight!

i just learned something .
usually i wash clothes with dollar store dish detergent . it costs me a half a buck per load . i looked on the web for the best deal for the money and performance and discovered " persil " laundry detergent . 22 bucks for 150 ounces on ebay . does a load of clothes for 23 cents ( 96 loads ) . when i have used that bottle up -- twenty seven bucks will remain in my pocket .
money dont come easy , gotta use that sht carefully .

Grilled portabella mushrooms, asparagus sauteed with garlic and onion, twice cooked potatoes (I bake them, then cut them in half drizzling a touch of avocado oil season with powdered onion and garlic then grill until crispy on the cut side) baked chicken, jalapenos and cranberries.

Yahoo, finally finished that bird. Amazing how many meals one chicken can provide. Scrounging for ideas to keep it interesting and use it all before it goes to waste. It was a real challenge and that is always good for the brain.

Have a blessed night all.

id add the cheese at serving time and set it in the oven a few minutes . probably better cheese distribution .

Thanks for your condolences. Guess I am sensitive to it every time it gets to be around the anniversary of his death.

I’m with you. I don’t like overcooked pork. It will dry up. Then not only is it tough but you loose the flavor too.
