Venison Steak, Mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, peas, rolls, and Maple pecan pie.
Thats what they ate.
I had a salad, and a piece of wheat bread with some mashed potatoes and gravy. Not feeling well, so comforted myself with some mashed potatoes.:(

That sounds so yummy!

I recently signed up for Trifecta Nutrition, which delivers wholesome prepared meals to your home (vacuum sealed and fully cooked). This is not an advertisement, lol.

Tonight was basa, broccoli, and squash. It was good, easy, no shopping, no cooking, very little clean up. It's nutritious and unadulterated enough for my mom to eat. So the whole family gets a healthy meal with just 6 minutes of microwave time.

Dessert was a chocolate chip waffle with lots of butter and Maple syrup

My Grandsons 6th birthday today. He requested a Japanese Steakhouse where they cook in front of you. Best thing...They have an "All you can eat" Sushi. So I am having the what they DON'T cook in front of me for dinner.
My eldest Grandson (17) takes after his Grandpa and can put away 3 plates of Sushi (grandpa did not eat stuff raw but could put away more fried shrimp than I have ever seen!)

Grilled venison steaks. Stuffing & gravy. Cornbread with honey butter.

DOUBLE STARCH. My guy doesn’t eat vegetables. 🙄 I love veggies - but often wilt at the prospect of cooking One More Thing.

I usually eat dinner his way - to make life easier. But I eat breakfast and lunch my way. 😁

I had vegetable lo mein, and fried rice, broccoli all smothered in general Tao sauce. I love that sauce. DH had broccoli beef, broccoli chicken, sweet n sour chicken, and rice. Lots of cakes. Mom had same as me but with some sweet and sour chicken and sweet and sour sauce. AB had orange chicken and a little of all the other stuff. Needless to say we were stuffed and will be having leftovers a few days. When we eat chinese we only eat that one meal, no breakfast, no dinner. If I wasn't so full I would have more right now. And we ate about 3 pm. (sigh)
Today was DH Birthday. He wanted chinese food. The restaurant we love to go to their buffet has these little mocha mousse coffee cakes. DH loves them and will eat almost an entire tray when we go there. So he said he wanted a whole tray for his Birthday. The owners were very kind to sell me a whole box. There may be 100 little cakes in this box. They kept making sure we really wanted a box. But seeing DH they know he loves them. Anyway we got food to go, and DH will have little cakes for a while.

I totally agree. Even though caregiving may be the main focus for us we still have a life. While I appreciate people asking about my LO we can talk about other things.😊 So today we are having Chicken parmigiano and spaghetti with salad and garlic bread or Cheese brats, tiny potatoes roasted, with veggies and cucumber sour cream salad. 😀

nothing fancy, some grilled ham and smoked cheddar sandwiches, homemade salsa and chips. I had just a smoked cheddar grilled cheese encrusted with Parmesan, and salsa and chips were yum.

Smoking various meats for tomorrow and prepping for tomorrow a small get together. Looking forward to more watermelon, YUM! That may be what I eat all day.

HAPPY 4th OF JULY EVERYONE!!!!!!

Cwillie, we are having a Costco frozen pizza tonight, but we always doctor it up with extra cheese, meat, olives.. whatever. And we always cook it for less than it says

Not wanting to cook I pulled out a frozen pizza - oh my, it was the worst thing I've put in my mouth since ... I don't know when. The crust literally tasted like cardboard, I couldn't even just pick off the toppings they were spread so thin.
Well, at least I don't have to complain about overeating.🤢

Thanks CW. I try. That’s why I try to cook. Otherwise, I become a junk food snacker for the evening. After last summer’s heart surgeries, I’m trying harder. Don’t want to go thru that again.
