Tonight it will be Stouffer's lasagna and some garlic bread for us tonight. After spending the better part of an hour canceling an order from Amazon and buying something else for my nephews for Christmas, I don't feel like doing anything special for dinner.

DH had some a double whopper and fries, sweet tea Burger King, Mom and I had some Taco Bell, I had the Veggie Power Burrito with some chipotle sauce, and unsweet tea, she had a mini chicken quesadilla minus the chipotle and to my surprise wanted a lemonade over her strawberry milk.
Maybe I won't have to buy a pink cow after all. :)

I love that woman. :)

Salmon patties ( a new recipe with some sour cream) and of course Mac and cheese.. they just go together at our house! Hubs is going to dress up the mac and cheese with a scoop of pimento cheese he got!
And Old Sailor, we called that hot dish or goulash growing up.. I loved it!

Last night was In N Out burgers.
Driving to get hubs late, a car ran a red light in front of me; jaywalker was soliciting parked cars and people; huge white dually truck changed lanes, in front of me, in the intersection without signalling; car following me too too close as I slowed to make it stop doing that. The fries were cold (one was and one wasn't), was handed one wet lap pad (for two), burger not up to speed.
Bah humbug!

Ah, Old Sailor — we ate “Hoover stew” frequently when I was a kid. Only we didn’t have a name for it!!

Last night was leftover Chinese food augmented with more chicken and more rice.

Tonite.....TBD. Tilapia? Country fried steak? Takeout?

I bought frozen package dinner that has rice, lots of beef and broccoli. I cooked it on the frying pan. My sense of smell is zilch. Tonight, while cooking the meal, my sense of smell reared its head up. I couldn't stand the smell of it. As I sat down to eat the meal, I struggled with the 1st spoonful because it really smells awful. I forced it down and it tried so hard to come right back out. My whole body literally shook with revulsion. I threw the rest of my food away.

Tonight, we're having oldest sis' favorite food for dinner. Hot dog in a bun. =(

We had sandwiches. I had half an avocado and tomato with mustard and pepper ,and a hot dill pickle ( a neighbor down the road made pickles this year with her abundance of cucumbers, she pickled them with jalapenos and onions, oh they are super good with a little heat) and some cottage cheese with a banana. They had ham and cheese and chips.

There is something in the big frying pan just now. No idea what it is, or what to call it.
Sauteing onions, butternut squash crinkle cuts, red potatoes, zucchini, celery, and some stuff I forgot. With very small amount of chicken breast. There is enough for all of you, come on over!

A change in schedules has me eating dinner alone, or waiting until after 9:45 p.m. to eat. Forgetting to eat at all in the afternoon and evenings, I am hoping to lose a little weight, but low blood sugar leaves me s q u i r r e l y.
There is absolutely NO ice cream left in the house, so I am going to 31 flavors for a taste test. Then, I might stop at ColdStone, where they mash up the flavors together to make it personal.

Broasted Chicken from the grocery or Chicken Fried Steak in the air fryer. Instant potatoes, gravy, peas and a simple green salad. Will prepare everything at my folk's house so Mother can 'help' me cook and we all get a nice hot meal. It's Friday, and I'm not going to start the weekend by overdoing!

Meant to post this last night, but dozed off early.
Cornish Hens cooked 2 hours in the roaster oven.
They were not done! Another hour and potatoes
with gravy made a meal. Clean up.....is it worth it?

What is worth it, agreeing with Smeshque about eating together:
The table is cleared off, we eat together.
The family that eats together, stays together!

Hubs has been cold this week so he cooked up a pot of chicken vegetable soup. We were thinking about eating when a friend unexpectedly dropped by. I served crackers, cheese, olives, chips and Cabernet Sauvignon. I could tell he wasn't leaving quickly when another friend came over (he lives across the street and saw the car of the other friend). Right at this point I got a call from my cousin. After an extended conversation, I came out to the kitchen to find out that the company had left and the soup was all gone! Hubs told them we had eaten and served them heaping bowls with a large French baguette. I had the leftover bread and a glass of wine.
