From a young age, numbers and problem-solving have always been my forte. Whether it was balancing my allowance or tackling math challenges in school, I found great satisfaction in working with numbers. Encouraged by my natural abilities and the support of my family, I pursued a path in accounting. As I advanced in my education and early career, it became clear that a career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) was the next step for me. I began my professional journey in public accounting, where I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, gaining invaluable skills and knowledge. Later, I transitioned into mergers and acquisitions, further broadening my experience and sharpening my strategic thinking.
While these roles were enriching, I realized that they didn’t quite fulfill me in the way I hoped. It became apparent that I wanted to contribute more to the world—not just through technical expertise, but by using my talents in ways that were more aligned with my personal passions and values. I knew I had much more to give, and I wanted to tap into that potential to have a deeper, more lasting impact.
My true passion lies in serving others. I have always believed in the power of being present for people and making them feel seen, heard, and understood. This desire to serve has led me to take on leadership roles in various groups within my local parish, including youth and men’s groups. Over the years, I’ve found deep fulfillment in guiding and supporting others, helping them navigate life’s challenges, and being a source of strength and encouragement. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, as they’ve allowed me to witness firsthand how a simple act of kindness or a listening ear can make a significant difference in someone’s life. It became clear to me that my purpose was to extend this impact beyond my personal circles and into a broader context, to touch more lives and create lasting, positive change.
As I continued reflecting on my purpose, I recognized that the gifts I’ve been given were meant to be used in both my professional and personal life. I wanted to find a way to integrate my skills with my passion for service. It was then that I decided to explore the possibility of owning my own business. I considered a variety of business models, including franchises, but struggled to find one that truly resonated with me. I wanted a business that I could wholeheartedly support, one that aligned with my values and allowed me to help others in a meaningful way.
That’s when I discovered Hallmark Homecare. As I delved deeper into Hallmark’s mission, vision, and values, it became immediately clear that this was the opportunity I had been searching for. Hallmark is not just another homecare company—it’s built on the foundation of authentic relationships, integrity, and a commitment to doing what’s right. The idea of earning someone’s trust and finding them the perfect caregiver for their loved one, someone who would provide care with compassion, respect, and dedication, deeply resonated with me. This opportunity offered the perfect blend of using my business acumen and passion for service in a way that would directly benefit others.
