When care becomes part of the conversation, most families aren’t looking for something complicated. They’re looking for something that fits. Something that works with real life, not against it.
That’s where Preferred Care at Home of South Miami focuses its energy.
Their model is simple: keep people at home, support what matters, and adjust as needs change.
Everything starts with understanding the situation clearly. What kind of help is actually needed? Where are things starting to break down? What level of support would make the biggest difference right now? From there, care is built around those answers, not around a preset package.
Services are flexible and practical. Caregivers assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and hygiene, along with daily tasks like meal preparation, housekeeping, errands, and transportation. The goal is to keep routines intact while removing the strain that builds up over time.
One of the key strengths is adaptability. Care doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Some families need a few hours of support each week. Others need daily or live-in care. Services can scale up or down without forcing a reset, which makes it easier to respond to changing needs without added stress.
There’s also a strong emphasis on continuity. Caregivers are selected and matched thoughtfully, which helps create consistency in the home. That consistency matters. It keeps routines stable, reduces confusion, and allows subtle changes in condition to be noticed early.
For more complex situations, including memory care or ongoing health concerns, support becomes more structured but stays practical. The focus remains the same: safety, independence, and maintaining as much normalcy as possible.
Another factor families often value is accessibility. Services are available around the clock, making it easier to get help when it’s actually needed, not just during limited hours.
Beyond day-to-day care, the team also serves as a resource. Whether you’re figuring things out for the first time or adjusting an existing plan, they provide guidance without overcomplicating the process.
Serving South Miami, Coral Gables, Key Biscayne, and surrounding communities, Preferred Care at Home is built for families who want reliable support without unnecessary layers.
Because when care is done right, it doesn’t feel like a major shift.
It feels like things are finally under control.

Preferred Care at Home provides quality services to people in need of home care. My elderly sister needed round-the-clock care when her husband had an accident and was hospitalized. Natalie put a plan into motion that provided excellent care within a day from when I contacted her. The day shift caregivers were kind, respectful and compassionate. They saw my sister's needs and went to great lengths to give her personal care, grooming and nutritious meals. The nighttime caregivers were loving and attentive, checking on her regularly and sitting with her when she was awake at night. It was the warmth and companionship offered by these lovely ladies that won my sister's heart. She repeatedly expressed thankfulness for them. Natalie was extremely fair and flexible when the schedule needed to change on our side. In addition, we were always informed if there was a change in a caregiver's schedule resulting in a change of staff. I would not hesitate to recommend Preferred Care at Home to anyone searching for home caregivers.

My daughter chose this agency after a lot of research. They let me meet with a few caregivers and pick the one I wanted. I am very happy with my caregiver. She helps me with things around the house and is willing to listen to me. She does things the way I want them. She washes my clothes, makes my bed, helps me with showering and even prepares my meals. I have dealt with the owner and he was kind and gentle and answered all my questions.

The agency has taken great care of my mom and it has made my experience positive. My caregivers are very attentive to keeping my mom clean and fed. They are friendly and personable, I appreciate that the most. I would recommend them because we've had nurses in the past and had to change them out. Ricky was super-fast to get it sorted out.

My daughter did a lot of research and found this agency. I appreciate that they drive you to the doctors or other places I need to go. They also help with things like cooking, laundry, light housecleaning, and picking up things. Both my caregivers are really good cooks, so I have been lucky, and I appreciate that.

The nurse aide was very good. They did everything because my husband was paralyzed. The office staff always communicates with me and texts or calls me if there is a problem.

The caregivers are high quality and take their job seriously. My mother needs the care, and it is a relief to the family to have someone there to care for her. They help with meals and help to prevent falls. They walk with her and provide light housekeeping. The office is responsive and takes care of issues quickly. They are very communicative about scheduling and changes in caregivers. They help to mediate issues between caregivers and my mother.

I just called Ricky and he was on the ball. The caregivers he sent have all been very good. I'd be hard pressed without them; this is something I need.

They were wonderful, and my caregivers were pleasant to work with. I really enjoyed them. We originally got the services for my husband, and after he passed, they stayed on to take care of me. They were always here when I needed them, and they stayed close. Ricky was who I spoke to and he was great.

I like that the agency meets our expectations. They've helped me the most by conducting appointments for my mom, so I don't have to. I appreciate the most that my caregivers are on time, attentive, and committed.
