About the Owner
Visiting Angels of Southeastern Oklahoma is proudly owned and operated by Johanna White, a dedicated and compassionate nurse with over 27 years of experience in the healthcare field. Johanna’s journey in nursing began in 1998 when she graduated with her BSN from St. Francis College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois. Her early career included working in Neuro Intensive Care and a primary care physician’s office, where she developed a deep understanding of both critical care and everyday health needs.
In 2010, Johanna discovered her true calling in home care. She spent several years serving as a home health nurse, providing personalized, in-home support to seniors. Her commitment to quality care led her to take on the role of Clinical Educator at a Telephone Triage After Hours Call Center, where she spent a decade training nurses and support staff to care for patients outside of normal office hours. This role allowed her to make a meaningful impact on the lives of countless seniors and their families, especially during nights and weekends.
Johanna’s dedication to advancing the field of nursing has been recognized throughout her career. She earned her National Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification in 2016 and was honored with the Nursing Excellence Award for Innovation from OSF Medical Center in 2017. Through Visiting Angels of Southeastern Oklahoma, Johanna continues to live out her passion for serving seniors by providing compassionate, high-quality care that helps clients maintain independence and dignity in the comfort of their homes.
