Couple looking Senior apartment Arizona we have 2 dogs . We're on Medicaid AHCCCS

If you're on AHCCCS, you'll want to find out first whether you qualify for ALTCS (Arizona Long Term Care System), which is the Medicaid program that can help pay for assisted living and other long-term care services. Not all senior apartments accept ALTCS, and pet policies vary widely, especially with two dogs.
It would help to know:

What city or area of Arizona you're looking in
Your ages
Whether you need assisted living or just senior housing
The size and breed of your dogs

Some Arizona communities do accept ALTCS and some are pet-friendly, but availability and waitlists can vary.

I would also suggest calling your AHCCCS/ALTCS case manager, who may be able to provide a list of participating communities in your area.

For reference, examples of Arizona communities that advertise ALTCS or subsidized senior-living options include Christian Care Manors and Fellowship Square Phoenix, though they would need to verify current availability and pet policies directly.

contact 211 and get the number for area of aging in your county that can direct you as to how to waitlist for an apartment.

The forum here are mostly family sharing experiences. A place for mom, which operates this site, offers a finders service but typically won’t work with Medicaid.
