How much does it cost

Find Care & Housing
You can get home care at any age. It is a service, like hiring a housecleaner. It is up to you if you feel you need the services.

Call a home care provider to find out what it costs. Typically around $25 an hour or more. That was the cost 10 years ago.

If you are disabled and qualify financially and have a medical condition which leaves you unable to provide your own basic self cares, such as preparing food, bathing, incontinence care, mobility, etc, then you may contact your county department of health and human services to apply for medicaid assistance.
Medicaid could help to pay for home care services if you are eligible.

There is no age limit unless your trying to get Medicaid.

Homecare is usually paid by the person who needs it. Income has a lot to do with what is out there free. Medicaid has in home but maybe age based, definitely income based.

Medicare has intermittent homecare. They are not there every day and need a Doctors order. This is usually used after a hospital stay.

As said, there is the VA if a person has served in the military.

Why are you looking for homecare?
