I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome- uncommon neurological condition. Pain - levels 7-8 - in left foot and knee. Yet in my history thoracic back surgery causing stenosis at T10-11. Usually wires for stimulator go from T10-to destination of T8. Should I ask for more difficult insertion from T6 down to T8 so wires don’t get involved with stenosis. Worried about stenosis and paralysis

Find Care & Housing
This is definitely a question for your doctor, but I will say that my 21 yr. old granddaughter also has CRPS, and had looked into having a spinal cord stimulator put in, but after doing the test run(which they always do first)with the stimulator she found that she didn't get any relief, so didn't proceed in getting it placed.
I wish you well in getting some pain relief.

Just another vote to see a different doctor for a second opinion, preferably one in an entire different network. Nowadays you can get lots of good and recent recommendations on Nextdoor.com or by using an info aggregator like ChatGPT. I wish you success in ending your chronic back pain!

Sounds like it would be best to get a second opinion from a specialist who has examined you in person, knows your medical history, etc.

Best wishes to you for a full recovery!

There are nurses on here but no doctors to my Knowledge . I would suggest Community acupuncture for pain relief . Also a CBD Lavender cream can help with Pain On The Knee order from Happy hemp Buddha in Colorado or arnica gel is Great for Pain by Boiron

While I sympathize with your situation, why are you asking this question - this VERY SPECIFIC surgical question - in an anonymous caregiver forum?

Do you really not think this is something better discussed with your medical team?

You would actually take advice from an internet forum of complete strangers, about whom you know nothing?
