I have asked questions before about whee to find a job helping a caretaker or being a caregiver for someone in need. I enjoyed many things about being my mother's caregiver and felt like I had lost my job my purpose when she passed. I was looking into hiring help before so I know there are jobs like running errands, cleaning,, shopping, cooking, and even just sitting and watching a loved one for their safety available out there and I would like information on where or how to find employment. Do the places like a place for mom hire caretakers or is it always just a family member that takes the role? Thank you for any advice, suggestions, recommendations or etc that takes time to reply.

In my city there are many caregiver agencies that hire staff to work with people in their homes. Do an internet search in your area for caregiver agencies

As Geaton says try care agencies. Nursing homes will train you but you have to work for them. You don't have to be certified to run errands and do housekeeping. Sort of word of mouth. Try putting your name on bulletin boards around town.

Apply at an agency and get paid while learning.

APFM is a lead generation + referral marketplace for senior care.

- Families use it for free.
- Providers (assisted living, home care, etc.) pay them for customers.
