Dallidog, it depends on where you live. If you are in a very large metro area the cost per hour would be much higher than if you lived in small town USA.

Ten years ago, my Dad was paying $30/hour for 3-shifts of caregivers from a caregiving agency. The agency's caregivers had background checked, and they were insured/bonded, workman's-comp insurance, had training classes, etc. and required to have the recommended vaccines so they would lessen the chances of making the client sick. My Dad had lived in a large metro area.

We are not an employment agency. Just a forum of caregivers sharing our experiences.

You can google "care agencies in my area" and a list should pop up. It really depends on where you live. Someone living in a city will pay more than a person living miles away.

It really depends on the state you're living in, but I believe the rates vary from about $20-$30+ per hour. You'll have to call around in your area or search online to get more definitive answers.
