Out of curiosity I've done some research on those random letter posts. This is a kind of spam that is passed around like a chain letter, primarily by kids. If you plug those letters into you tube you get videos... mindless, childish videos with millions of views, which just proves how prevalent the stupid things are.
I also saw where the Discussion thread on the forum home page isn't in order date wise. I let Admin know, and sent them a copy of what I was referring. Seemed odd that section had stopped sorting.
Can they at least figure out a way that we can report the posts without having to comment on them? And then perhaps we could have reported posts be quarantined until vetted?
Have you noticed the discussion threads are not listed chronologically... another glitch?
And when I log in the site doesn't remember me any more so I have to type in all my info, a real p.i.t.a.
80 posts this morning FF? Did you actually take the time to count LOL? Back to my original premise, if there was a system to flag and quarantine multiple posts from someone new it could cut down on some of that, most legit newbies are not making more than a couple of comments on the first day they sign up.
I let Admin know about it, just scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on CONTRACT US... fill out the form.
Apparently the mothership must be running late and the coders are not happy :P
My question is, don't you have to have a valid email address to join? How do these imposters keep coming up with new email addresses day after day. Eventually, wouldn't their addresses get blocked?
I haven't figured out the cut and paste phone number posts yet, but it could be the same kind of thing. It would explain why anyone would take the time to bother... they are only 10 years old with all the time in the world.
And these writers are actually filling out the profiles. Go figure.
Is there a mothership out there?
