I came across across a YouTube video called "CareYaYa". This program was started by a physician in North Carolina and is growing in the Southern States where there are a lot of retirees. Boston is another destination.
This is a nursing/medical student university (4-year) program. Check it out there 20-25 per week minimums, I believe $17 per hour.
There is a website with in-depth information and a webinar. Folks I have been in trenches for a while and any new info I can share with you to make your life easier, I will put on the platform.
You can contact your local nursing and medical schools in your area and start a new chapter if they don't have this in your neighborhood. It must be a 4-year institution not a 2-year.
I wanted to share the wealth...Blessings to all of you and Happy 4th!
Ireland (Mom's declining but at Peace!) Amen...

Find Care & Housing
This sounded great until I read this...

Medical Equipment:
We cannot provide services to individuals who have the following even if students do not directly interact with the medical equipment.
Catheter
Colostomy or ostomy bag
IV
Nutritional or oxygen tubes
Tracheostomy

But overall sounds like a great affordable alternative just wouldn't work for my mom who has a feeding tube and uses oxygen but the person wouldn't need to interact... too bad...
