When dad's breathing pauses were that long, he passed away a couple of days later. I found those pauses to be awful, and myself holding MY breath waiting for him to resume breathing. All in all, a very stressful experience. I'm sorry you're going thru this and wish you strength during this difficult time.

I don't know,if you're hearing the so called death rattle, that's usually the final stage and it's just a matter of hours as in my father's case. It's a very rough time, just know that they aren't feeling any pain as they are transitioning. Very sad for you.

Let her know she is loved and receives your comfort and she is at rest knowing that you care for her. So you calm her soul as she moves into the afterlife. She will live forever in your presence. God Bless you both.
