2 times a week for bathing assistance. 3 times a week to cook a light meal and to check in.

Yes, right here on this website - click on the FIND CARE Link above.

If you don't want to go that route, Google Home Care and find Home care providers in your area. What you describe you are looking for is EXACTLY what they do.

There are several in home CG agencies. I worked for the 2 most 'advertised'. sadly they were both poorly run and the pay was atrociously bad.

If you only 'need' 10 hrs of help and that 10 hrs is on 5 separate days, you will find yourself paying for more like 20hrs per week. If we had a day with a client, we billed 4 hrs, minimum. You cannot get a lot done in 4 hrs! After the first 4 hrs, then every hour after that is an additional hour to be paid.

If I went over 32 hrs, then my company had to pay for health insurance for me, which I did not need nor want, so I learned to use the time allotted to get a lot done.

Sounds like you need someone every day of the week. Unless you hire privately (and that is fraught with issues--I did that ONCE and that was enough. I wanted the safety net of a company insuring me and paying to bond me.)

You can do this with neighbors, older teens who are VERY responsible---or maybe a SAHM who needs some extra bucks and can be trusted.

Personally, I'd go with a licensed agency and try to get as much done in 3 days as possible. Then you'd only have 2 days to look at finding 'care'.

Only you can know how much care your loved one needs. If they need daily care--maybe it's time to start looking at FT ALFs.

You don't give enough information about your LO to really make any helpful comments. Come back and flesh out your post and people will be able to really help.
