Find Care & Housing
I called Go Go Grandparent when my drivers license was temporarily suspended. My patient advocate from EZ Health recommended it to me. Go Go Grandparent charged me a $16.99 membership fee. This is in addition to paying the regular Uber or Lyft fee once I found this out I told the representative I wanted to cancel the membership immediately less than a half an hour after they charged me. I was told I would receive a full refund since I never used the membership. I noticed today that my bank account was charged and I called Go Go Grandparent to follow up with them on the refund. I spoke with the supervisor who refused to refund my money and was very unhelpful so if you are a senior citizen like I am, don’t waste your money on them because you won’t get it back.

Here are reviews for it but I think you will have to get opinions locally, like from Nextdoor.com... https://www.trustpilot.com/review/gogograndparent.com?utm_medium=trustbox&utm_source=Mini

The drivers are good and the rides are pleasant. But the dispatchers are horrible with addresses. We took them twelve days in a row, always to the same place--the main entrance of UPMC Shadyside Hospital, 3250 Centre Avenue. Simple address, you'd think. But no. Drivers got sent to West Penn Hospital, a completely different place. To the Emergency Department on South Aiken Avenue. To the Shadyside Medical Building, near but not in the hospital. On and on and on, day after day after day, despite our giving them the right address every day. GPS can take you to a street address, that's all the information you need. But they would pester us with, "Is it the Emergency Department? Is it near the Busway?" No, the Busway entrance is on South Aiken Avenue. "Is it near the Shadyside Urgicare?" No, it's across the street from it. And so on. Just spectacular incompetence--like they really couldn't believe we wanted to go to the main entrance.

Do not use this company! I signed up for their service yesterday then read these posts. I called the company today to cancel my subscription which I have not used yet. I was told during this call that this company has a "no refunds policy." This policy was not mentioned when I signed up yesterday. I called my credit card company and reported this as a scam. Since I opted to cancel my account number and get a new one, the credit card company will secure a refund from GoGo Grandparent on my behalf. Buyer beware!

I just looked it up. For me, I think it goes out of Philly and hooks the person up with urbers and lyfts. I live in a small town that those services aren't prevalent. And, I could make those calls myself. We also have Senior bussing.

I haven't heard about it but AARP in their latest issue says there are many services provided that we aren't aware of and that some cities and counties even have vouchers for Uber and Lyft. If you use this service I hope you will inform us all about it.

I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction with GoGoGrandparent and to warn others about my experience, which I believe borders on elder abuse.
My 89-year-old mother, who is going blind, needed assistance with shopping and other tasks. My brother discovered GoGoGrandparent and thought we had finally found a solution to help her. He set up an account, and my mother went out to buy water. To our shock, this simple errand ended up costing us $250!
When I called GoGoGrandparent to address the issue, I was told that they had no record of an account in either my brother’s name or my mother’s name. This lack of accountability is unacceptable, especially for a service that claims to cater to seniors in need.
I cannot stress enough how concerning it is that a business like this operates without proper oversight or customer support. It feels like they are taking advantage of vulnerable seniors during a time when they need help the most. I urge anyone considering this service to think twice and explore other options. This has been the worst experience, and I would not recommend GoGoGrandparent to anyone.

I have read about bad reviews about joining Go Go Grandparents' membership. I have used only non-membership ride services for discounted rides and nothing else. Three miles cost me about $20 with local government discount for excellent Lyft service.

I work at a provider's office and having rude people who have zero respect for the patients drop them off is unacceptable. In my experience, the driver was very aggressive to the staff. Drivers are NOT SAFE!!! DON'T rely on this company sending an English-speaking driver. Very crooked company. DO NOT RECCOMEND TO ANYONE!! No patient deserves this treatment. VERY heartbreaking!

Lyft now has a silver program for elders and it seems quite good .
