Please help me get a transfer ASAP.

Find Care & Housing
You've signed up to an international forum of caregivers to elderly loved ones here at Agingcare. We cannot help you with transferring out of this rehab. It's not a prison, however, so you can leave anytime. If you have a POA, I suggest you contact that person and ask for assistance in transferring. Or call Medicare to authorize a transfer to a rehab you'd prefer going to.

Good luck to you.

Greg, curious why you were placed in rehab? Usually a hospital will place someone where there is an open bed. Chances of transferring could happen or you would be placed on a waiting list. Do you have a regular primary doctor, give that doctor a call and see what he/she says.

If you have no POA or family member to help you transfer, call Adult Protection Services and tell them you need to transfer, can they help.

Why are you in rehab. Have you been there 20 days? If so, what is the reason to keep your longer?
