Find Care & Housing
Marte48, this site is for caregivers who are/were caring for love ones. We answer questions, and exchange excellent ideas.

AgingCare does not have hands-on caregivers who go out to help in homes. This is a web service only.

If you have any questions or need ideas regarding a love one, please ask. We are listening.

This site has lots of information for people who need Medicaid and for people caring at home - certainly not just for people with money. If you click on 'care topics' at the top right hand side of the screen, you will get an alphabetic list of many many topics that might help you.

Marte,
Use of this site, or forum is free.
To use a care advisor, to find housing, or to get referrals for care (adverisers on this forum) may also be free.
The actual care is not free, if, for example one needs a facility such as a nursing home or assisted living.
There are a variety of ways to pay for care.
Even if someone is low-income. You can learn about that on this site. For free.

Some of us do, some don’t, many fall in between. If you were implying that having lots of money is the easy way to provide good care, some of us have also learned from experience that that’s not always the case either.

Anyone who takes care of a dependent LO with dementia needs to keep in mind that at some point, the LO’s money can run out, so planning for the future is always part of planning in the present.

Is there something specific you needed to know, marte48?
