My moms mirtazapine was increased 2 weeks ago to 15 mg from 7.5. She wakes up very shaky and agitate and pacing more. She cries out for her mom and goes through periods of jerking her arms and legs.Has anyone else experienced with with their loved one?

Hard to answer your question without more context:

How old is your mother?
What other medications is she taking (especially for sleep, anxiety, Parkinson's disease, or dementia)?

In the meantime, here is aggregated info from ChatGPT5.3:

Do not stop or reduce the medication abruptly without guidance from her clinician unless a medical professional instructs you to do so.

Her symptoms are concerning enough that it is recommended you contact her prescribing physician soon — today if possible, and seek urgent evaluation especially if symptoms are worsening.

The timing is suspicious, but always consider other causes:

- urinary tract infection
- dehydration
- electrolyte imbalance
- pain
- medication interactions

The only dide effect I could find close to what youb posted is "Serotonin Syndrome: Agitation, hallucinations, rapid heartbeat, fever, or severe muscle stiffness."

I would call the doctor who prescribed them.

If you cannot get an early appointment with her provider. Bring her to the ER. Serotonin syndrome if she has it feels awful she could also have an infection
