Even APS is trying to help with placement and she said it will take a couple of weeks. M has a yearly appt with the PA tomorrow. In home care nurse comes this afternoon. I'm the one here all night when she is talking sometimes loudly at who or whatever she's talking to. This is not me complaining about my relationship with M but a need to vent, and a need for moral support. I cxld her Meals on wheels this morning and fixed us breakfast and am noticing more coughing and pocketing. Do these people want me to literally watch her choke to death under my care? She has a DNR. I'm talking to a realtor today. I need her placed ASAP. Or at the very least or most to get some meds. I know she's worn out. Im holding my own for now. Sorry this is so long. Just to add I saw my doctor yesterday and he didn't refer me to a cardiologist and my EKG looked good. He did prescribe an additional anti depressants but I haven't started it.

The in home care nurse is trying to get here sooner than later.
They will check bp, oxygen level and if it's ok they don't do any more.
I want them to call for ems to take her to the hospital. I don't know if they will admit her or not.

You don't have to have the home care nurse call EMS, as you can right now dial 911 and have your mom taken to the ER and checked out for aspiration pneumonia, and whatever else.
If you are that concerned, please do that right now, and when there let them know that she is now an "unsafe discharge" and CANNOT return home. The hospital will then have to act on getting her placed in the appropriate facility after she leaves the hospital.

Share everything you're noticing with your mom with the nurse that comes this afternoon and then again with her PA at her appointment tomorrow.
Then call the hospice agency of your choice and have them come out and do an assessment on your mom, as I'm guessing she'll qualify for their services. Hospice can then help you get your mom placed as well. Plus hospice will supply all needed equipment, supplies and medications, all covered 100% under your moms Medicare.
And it sounds like your mom is aspirating her food and drink in her lungs which can cause aspiration pneumonia which in most cases is fatal, so make sure that all of her food is pureed and her drinks thickened with the product Thick-It.
You need to do whatever it takes to get your mom placed ASAP.

The in nurse believed me this time.
Nurse called Mom's Dr office but left a message. No help there anyway even though I have been letting them know.

In home came in and she called ems.
We are currently in the ER.
Ive been here before. Im letting them know she can't go back home and she needs placed. If this takes a 3 day admittance that's what needs to happen.
This rehab business for 100 days isn't working out but then you have to go through the motions.

If 100 days rehab and self pay one month, that will give me time to talk to the realtor. And get the house sold but I do know that takes time!
In essence the Lord is answering my prayers 🙏
